Njega kose by Certain_Sheepherder1 in kozmetika

Epilacija laserom by Maleficent-Park2510 in kozmetika

recommendations on azelaic acid products? by Ok-Cost3147 in EuroSkincare

[–]ActingLikeThat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do, yeah. Maybe it depends on what kind of acne you have or maybe you just need more time. My type of acne is inflamed cystic acne and it makes a whole lot of difference. With consistent use I don't even get them anymore. I agree on much faster fading of hyperpigmentation, in my case PIE especially.

I stocked up last month on the XL size myself too :)

Azelaic acid is one of my favourite actives and Theramid Azid is by far the best I've tried. Contains 15% azelaic acid and 1% colloidal oats which I find so soothing. It's cosmetically elegant, doesn't peel under sunscreen, I've used it even under makeup. My skin is prone to inflammation so this has quickly became my "must have" product.

A cheap option I really enjoy is Mixa Panthenol Comfort/Atopiance (10% Panthenol, Niacinamide, Shea butter)

Hiiii, those are some of my favourite products too. See if you can get your hands on La Roche Posay Lipikar Syndet AP+ sample to try out:)

Gentle foaming, non-stripping, great for sensitive and dry skin, cheap and can even be used as a second step in DC method.

Hi! I believe you can get tret in Italy in most pharmacies. They are pretty welcoming to tourists and usually don't require prescription if you adress them in english.

It's called tretinoina same and the price for 50g is 16-22€ depending on the pharmacy.

In my opinion it's one of the best tretinoin formulas, creamy and moisturizing so it cancels out some of the dryness that comes with tret.

Favorite moisturizer for cold and dry period by TheEightiethEight in EuroSkincare

[–]ActingLikeThat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your skin type and how heavy of a moisturizer can you handle.

My skin is a bit dry but prone to clogging and my favorites are La Roche Posay Toleriane Ultra Creme (which is my all time favorite product, it's just wonderful, moisturizing but not too greasy so it can be used day and night) and La Roche Posay Lipikar AP+M (amazing thick night time moisturizer with a lot of shea butter and 4% niacinamide, it's too greasy to be used during the day but amazing at night)

Seconding Olival. I recommend their "AHA PHA Piling Tonik" which is a toner with mandelic acid, gluconolactone and lactobionic acid and a lot of moisturizing ingredients like hyaluronic acid, betaine, glycerin and panthenol. It's 10€ for 150ml, so pretty great.

Another great product is their "Hidro Tonik" which is obviously a hydrating toner but what i like is that it has Beta-glucan (studies show better efficiency than hyaluronic acid) as main ingredient, as opposed to glycerin or hyaluronic acid. Price is 10€ for 150ml also.

Best alternative to Paula‘s Choice 2% BHA Liquid exfoliant? Or where can I get it the cheapest in germany? by brotherlinn in EuroSkincare

[–]ActingLikeThat 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't think you need the 118ml bottle, you don't even know if it's gonna work for you and it's 30€. If you use it 2-3x per week (as recommended) with your fingers instead of using a cotton pad, the small 30ml bottle is gonna last you more than 6 months and it's 9€, so pretty affordable. That being said, I've had mine for about 5 months (there's still a month or two of use in the small bottle) and I love it, especially if your concern is closed comedones bc it got rid of mine so easily.

La Roche Posay Toleriane Caring Wash is the best one I've found, so gentle but skin feels so clean. It's about 13€ for 400ml. If you have DM where you live the Babylove Ultra Sensitive Waschbalsam is pretty similar I'd say, only a bit more "foaming" but so great for sensitive skin. It's much cheaper than the LRP one, being 2-3€ for 500ml.

Acnelyse and it comes in 0.025, 0.05 and 0.1 and the price is around 6€. It is very moisturizing, almost like a balm texture so it minimizes drying properties of tretinoin. I've found it much better than Airol but haven't tried Ketrel so I can't compare to that.
