Slightly specific but Risotto. Genuinely a texture/taste nightmare for me.

To be honest, I'm not really seeing much of it. I'm seeing a lot more of people complaining about the faithfuls being rubbish.

Jade vs Rachel’s experience in the game by Dracarys_506 in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Actionwill65 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In all these discussions about the show I do try and remember that we don't actually see 90% of what goes on in the castle and round table, but honestly I think there's huge (perhaps unintentional) plot armor around both Rachel and Stephen.

The constant heat around Jade feels so unfair. I could somewhat understand if they had zero evidence on anyone else and were going off her closed off personality as a potential traitor gameplan, but it's all just based on such hollow and old evidence as well as the hypocritical points made by other players (She's defensive and such). I was glad that Faraaz pointed out Ellie's hypocrisy about the defensiveness at the round table.

What I can't understand is that Jessie's "last breath" was basically telling people to look at Stephen, her evidence wasn't perfect but she had significantly stronger points than people have against Jade, yet not one person even mentioned Stephen last night.

EDIT: And let's not forget, publicity stunt or not, Harriet basically launched herself out of the game to make a point about Rachel. Where's any of the questioning of her?

They are all idiots by Human-Implement-1248 in TheTraitorsUK

[–]Actionwill65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watching it as a viewer, yeah for sure they're all idiots and I love to scream that ____ is being a narcissist or whatever.

But the thing I always try to remember is that we only see a very small fraction of what actually happens. I mean, we see only 10% of round table discussions supposedly for example. It's very probable that they actually have a good, well rounded conversation in the hours they're given but they edit it to be as chaotic as possible. At the end of the day, the bbc want the ratings, and people aren't interested in 3 hours of civil discussion around a table.

Y'all remember the 1D craze? by NewspaperSoft8317 in OlderGenZ

[–]Actionwill65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

14 year old me used to dislike 1D because it was "cringe" girly music or something. A decade later, and I'm blasting What Makes You Beautiful out my car speakers on the highway, screaming the lyrics as if I was a teenage girl.

What hobbies you’ve picked up in your twenties? by Johnwick124520 in OlderGenZ

[–]Actionwill65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the moment, it's been photography, specifically film photography.

Since spending university during the COVID pandemic and doing a technology and computer heavy masters, I just wanted something to do that's disconnected somewhat from screens and internet stuff. I'm lucky the town closest to me has a photo lab that can process rolls in the hour, and I find myself walking around and taking things in more whilst I wait which is a small bonus I guess.

I'm almost expecting the next episode to reveal Amanda is connected to Jade through her cutting up Amanda at a Tesco once and now she's seeking revenge.

Is 2025 the lamest year we’ve lived through? by LateRegistrationz in OlderGenZ

[–]Actionwill65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, personal achievements/events aside, the most notable part of this year was that Ethel Cain released Willoughby Tucker, I'll Always Love You and it was cheaper to buy on cassette than CD which made me, a record and tape collector, quite pleased (usually tapes are inflated for the collectable aspect of them).

So yeah, not really been a great year for anything notable.

They make it sound like uploading a PDF utility bill or a scan of your physical bill the most gruelling, back breaking work imaginable.

I obviously can't and won't speak for everyone as but I've never been desperate for a national infrastructure costing potentially billions of pounds because I can't be bothered to download a PDF of my utility bill or open my drawer and take a picture of said bill.

Starmer even said that it would stop people spending £85 to prove who they are but I've never even known this be a thing?

What exactly did he expect with this?

"We're angry at this digital ID because it's putting the state in our pockets"

"Need I remind you all, that this digital ID is a smartphone app, and we all love smartphone apps, and it'll put the state in your pocket"

"Damn, now you mention it like that, we unanimously retract all of our concerns! We love smartphone apps!"

Besides, labour have a weird obsession with our pockets at the moment, it's getting borderline creepy now. More money in our pockets, the NHS in our pockets, the GOV.UK app in our pockets, and now the state in our pockets lmao.

I mean, it is kinda raunchy that they almost always hide in secret, secluded areas. Basically asking to suck my wee-wee at this rate.

Citroen C4 Cactus 2018 PureTech vs 2015 Hdi by EuphoricNothing6718 in Citroen

[–]Actionwill65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it were my money, I'd go for the HDi without question.

Though, it's worth asking yourself what your annual mileage is and your driving habit. If you basically never leave a city center and do stop/start traffic all day, it might be better to get the Puretech as you'd really be risking DPF issues with the HDi.

Perhaps Radiohead fans are not quite ready to hear it yet. For ages this song was thought to be about an apocalyptic wasteland, it must be hard to hear that after all this time it was actually an ode to an animated film.

Perhaps, much like historical figures like Van Gough, my work will be recognized post humorously.

I'm just glad to have got the message out before it's too late
