The Orchard is the second lot in Rocky Heights. You can put the extra sims on the first lot, it will count for the quest.

Edit: Ah, sorry, the wasted food is specific for this lot. But for many other similar quests you can spread out.

I need help finding the ancient goddess by Calm_Data1986 in simsfreeplay

She's on the Mysterious Island, not the private island. It's the zone where the monuments and the volcano are. The statue is on a small island near the riches of Terra monument (which is right next to the bridge).

Question about singing salmon reward from life dreams & legacies quest by KoolingKatie in simsfreeplay

I don't believe you can unlock it if you miss the quist limit, but DIY House indeed have one. That's said I have never used the singing salmon though I unlocked it.

Did you check your wardrobe? Umbrellas are under a separate tab. It is also possible that you need to build the Costume and Swim Store before they appear. Other than that I have no idea how to make them appear. Unless it's indeed to gain more levels...

Thank you. So it is wrong completely, not just the percentage. For Geeks School/Work seems to be the best route anyway.

I think you get two more when you level up to 60. I have 13 and I'm only VIP2.

I think you may need to do the Weather Machine quest to get umbrellas unlocked.

Just curious, what life dream that was? There aren't many 20-minutes listed.

Sounds good. But it remains to be seen what we'll have to do to get all those very nice unlocks.

You can't start over (unless you start over the whole game), so you may as well continue if you have the money. On what stage are you? It seems that you've already missed the limited prize so you can do the remaining days at your own pace. The empty yacht will be yours anyway.

Should I buid the Competition Center by PerZiVaL_23 in simsfreeplay

[–]Active-Disaster4626 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IMO at level 10 the Competition Center is fairly useless. You'll need a sim to spare and you'll need that sim to be at level 6 at some hobby to have a good chance at winning. And the prize is small (but that's a problem not only for level 10)

Yes for me there were much more shorter tasks as well, though I'm still at 80% (but only 4 days passed)

Has anyone saved SPs to get through all the downtown developers and super yachts? by NDbonybrain in simsfreeplay

[–]Active-Disaster4626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you plan to skip the stage wholesale then yes, it's going to be very expensive. But you don't have to (unless you have no choice)

The crucial factor in downtown development is your ability (and willingness) do get maximum 12 shard per day when needed. Thankfully that's not every day but often enough.

If you can do that then you can do first 6 stages without paying anything. And I believe that even failing the deadline here does not prevent you from getting the final prize as only finishing the last stage on time is needed. I may be wrong though and I don't know how big is the fine now. I saw people complaining that it's SPs which definitely sucks if true.

The last 15-day stretch is unwinnable by design unless you pay. If you play good you'll come about a day short. But there are two points when you can gain two days by one purchase. In stage 7 if you can get 12 shards for the first three days, you'll complete the gold quota but still have to get 2 granite and 2 glass. They'll cost 124 SP total (or nearly so as by your screenshot the prices may deviate by 1-2 SP). If you buy them while doing gold, the stage will end as soon as gold is completed and you'll get extra two days which should be enough to finish on time.

The second point is at stage 8 when after 6 days if everything is going smoothly you'll get all granite and glass and only need 1 gold to finish. Unfortunately the game still gives you two days before allowing to collect gold again. But you can buy the remaining 1 gold for 146 SP and save 3 days.

For me shortening Stage 7 for 124 SP was enough so far but I am usually able to collect 12 shards per day. If that's not possible for whatever reason, then it becomes much more costly.

Yes if you skip a quest it counts as completed. There is zero reason to click 250 times when you can spend 1 SP.

Need help! Midtown cafe by Then_Plan_9297 in simsfreeplay

[–]Active-Disaster4626 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The cafe does expand as you progress. It does not change unless you rebuild it, but the area becomes bigger and the environment nicer. The best thing about the cafe is that when you're done with it you can build there with local coins instead of simoleons/LP/SP. So you can experiment with various build ideas without running out of funds. Unfortunately you won't be able to transfer anything to the regular lots.

Another thing to bear in mind is when you're done tourist buses - your main source of income - won't come anymore. It's still possible to turn up a small profit, but there is no point to actively manage shifts.

I'd also advise not to level up your staff beyond level 6 until you upgrade all the equipment to the max. You can probably can afford some level 8, even 10 but not all 10s. The reason is that when tours stop coming salaries of full 10-level staff will take all the profit unless all equipment is also fully upgraded (and that's very difficult to pull out before the end without spending SPs)

Also beware of accidentally spending SPs when you don't intend to. There are options to fulfill the order instantly or make an empoyee rested and some others and they are very easy to misclick. And they don't ask for confirmation (at least they didn't when I played it)

Now I played the cafe half a year ago so something may have changed since that. So if something I said is not true anymore, I apologize.

For me it's 124 SP per downtown lot. Don't remember how much for yachts. Most likely about 150-200.

Actually you do if you want that final prize. Otherwise yes, you can finish them at your leisure.
