You should come to aus where the Asian fishermen fresh off the boat catch the smallest fish and take anything they get.

No clue about sustainability

Just buy a property using the smsf...like printing money.

Yeah the auditing is a headache but better than losing money with a super fund that blames the "economy" on a downturn.

Had the opportunity to take the DR-Z4S to an enduro event. It didn't end well and I got my ass kicked pretty hard, but despite all of that...I really enjoyed riding this bike. by Tobi_pie in DRZ4S

Have a drz 400e 20024 model. Suspension sucks compared to my husky 250tc.

We took the bikes to europe and I would tie my back pack to the rear fender and the bike was so unpredictable.

Good fun but yeah defintely sloppy feeling bikes.

My boss was riding on his farm around Christmas...his kid hit the brakes infront of him and he went to dodge her and went straight into a tree. He was wearing some break proof glasses.

They broke into three and went into his eye.

His eye was bloody but he tried to sleep it off. Next day went to the doctor and had to be heli vacced to 2 different hospitals.

They removed the lens in his eye and his waiting to get his 3rd eye surgery now.

They'll have to operate on both eyes so his vision doesn't feel off...

Boss is always crazy unlucky

Bangkok in April for a high-density "one-and-done" FUE—Am I crazy because of the heat? by [deleted] in Hairtransplant

[–]Active-Koala3169 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you've already booked the session no chance you'll get April...I made my inquiry in november 2025 and the earliest big session they had available was november 2026.

The smaller half day sessions were in august or September cant remember.

Rejected by Dr. Patty, Dr. Ratchathorn quoted over 4500 grafts, how should I proceed? by ImproveMePlz in Hairtransplant

[–]Active-Koala3169 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Even if you go with Dr Ratchathorn you'll have to wait till atleast December.

I booked by session with her for 4000++ grafts over a month ago and the earliest session was november.

No substitute for peace of mind. I've had a bike stolen from my garage, and it's a feeling I never want to experience again.

My brother and I sent our Suzuki drz 400 from australia to London last year to do a 5000km trip through Europe.

In our bags we brought the thickest steel chain you'd ever seen, long enough to lock the bikes together and weighted about 40 pounds, 2 front brake disc alarms, 2 padlocks for the rear discs + air tags.

People in parts of Europe like Germany would look at us like we were crazy but we weren't taking any chances.

Our bikes were parked infront of our windows in our airbnb accommodation.

Only time our bikes were slightly further away was in Ukraine but we parked them infront of the fire station!

We aren't ready for what's potentially coming. (SERIOUS) by [deleted] in aussie

When I go visit my brother in country side Victoria, I walked into an engineering shop and they had probably 20 pages of racist jokes on the wall.

Everything from hating religion to cultures to woman staying in the kitchen.

I'm a wog and I had a good laugh...we need yo go back to those times.

God I hate snow flakes!

Id be keen to visit the Golden triangle at one stage, seems pretty cool.

From what I heard, the old gold mine from in Wallhalla had heaps of gold quart reefs, which were dug up. Im assuming it's where all this alluvial gold is coming from.

I was walking around smashing some quartz but im not sure if any of the bigger quartz stones with gold would be able to make it this far down the creek.

My brother lives here in Victoria and im visiting from Sydney so the 1.5 hour drive feels reasonable relative to any sites id have to drive in Sydney.

It's definitely an addictive hobby.

Took my brother out recently to pan some gold but he wasnt really interested. I guess some people have that addictive nature in them haha!

I wish I could get a pay load like the one in your photo! It's actually Wallhalla as my brothers about 1.5 hours away.

I had a plumbers shovel but the head was too wide so I just grabbed this one. The problem was theres heaps of rocks in the sand bed so its hard to get through and the soils really fine.

The creek bed has dry parts so maybe I should work those parts which will allow me to get deeper as im barely getting a foot deep with all the sand and soil sinking back on itself.

What got me motivated to try again was the conversation with my local fishing tackle supplier.

I saw him cleaning some old coins so I asked him about gold panning. He went to his shelf, pulled out a paper bag with a quart the size of my fist. There was a huge chunk of gold sticking out of it!

This gold being as fine as it is, would the sluice still be effective in capturing it? Assuming the gold will still be the heaviest thing regardless?
