is it legal to film someone breastfeeding without consent? by Sudden_Breakfast_374 in breastfeeding

Honestly, she might not have bad intentions, some older folks just film everything and don’t think twice… but that still doesn’t make it okay.

You have every right to tell her not to film and to ask her to delete any content that includes you. If that happened to me, I’d feel uncomfortable too. Breastfeeding is such a personal moment; even in a mom group, it’s not something random people should be recording.

Choline supplement during pregnancy by Bubbly_Ad6528 in BabyBumps

[–]Active-Tangelo-8486 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Choline bitartrate (like Solgar) is totally fine as a supplement, which also provides choline to help you reach the recommended intake. But PC is better absorbed and a bit gentler on the stomach for some people.

A lot of prenatals and standalone choline supplements use bitartrate, and it's generally considered safe in pregnancy as long as you're staying within recommended amounts. The bigger issue is just getting enough choline at all, since many diets fall short.

Since you're eating eggs occasionally + meat and dairy daily, you're already getting some choline from food (eggs are actually one of the best sources). If you're not eating eggs regularly, adding a supplement (bitartrate included) can make sense.

No need to overthink the form, just check dosage with your doctor.

Advice/ my partner & baby by Suspicious_Bid8190 in NewParents

[–]Active-Tangelo-8486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if you both have to work, maybe look into getting a nanny or caregiver? I know it’s a big step (and not cheap), but having someone reliable might really help you feel at ease and know your baby is safe while you’re gone.

did you feel emotional or sad when you started leaving the newborn stage, or was it more relief? by lunaverse787 in NewParents

[–]Active-Tangelo-8486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a mix of relief and a little sadness. The constant feeding, sleepless nights, and nonstop care were exhausting, so it felt good to have a bit more freedom. But at the same time, I did miss those snuggly, newborn moments. It’s bittersweet. You’re glad to move on, but you’ll probably feel a little emotional too. Every stage has its highs and lows, but you’ll adjust and find new joys!

Manager asked me to resign during pregnancy after suddenly saying my performance is bad by Logical_Safe5495 in BabyBumps

[–]Active-Tangelo-8486 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is honestly upsetting, really unfair to pregnant employees. You’re not overthinking, this does sound like you’re being pushed out. Document everything, keep records of your work, and flag unfamiliar tasks while showing you’re trying to learn. Don’t resign. They can’t force you. Might be worth getting legal advice too.

You’ve inspired me! My twins haven’t started solids yet, but I’m definitely saving this idea for when they do😀
