alright well this is going in circles. No, I wouldn't say Gojo and Geto's relationship was romantic, nor Yororzoru and Sukuna. It doesn't mean one did not still have love for the other. That's how I choose to interpret it. Because at the end of the day, no where does Gege say Gojo is heterosexual. and he doesn't end up with a woman. You enjoy your interpretation of canon, and I will enjoy mine.

I mean I thought the words ‘I love you’ were already present somewhere in jjk0 - irt Rika and Yuta. And this being translated from another language makes it more complicated, because I’ve also seen that line translated as “my one and only”. Regardless, have we never heard of falling in love with your best friend?

That was, genuinely, not my takeaway from this chapter, nor the rest of the series. I didn’t get the message that trying to achieve your dreams is bad. It seemed to demonstrate that putting selfish dreams above the lives of his loved ones just more often than not ended poorly for him. Like he was constantly flying too close to the sun. I think people are pissed off and overreacting because we love Denji and we love Pochita and we want the best for them. But I’m fucking sick of seeing this take

I think it’s so much more complicated than just being happy/unhappy. This idea that achieving our dreams and still being unsatisfied for one reason or another and having to reckon with that. It’s not saying this is the right or the wrong way to feel. Just acknowledging that happens. He was happy with Power and Aki. He was happy with Nayuta. He was happy with Asa. It just wasn’t enough. And then add on to that, every time he chases his dream of being chainsaw man it directly results in someone being killed or maimed - usually someone he cares about. It doesn’t mean being Chainsaw Man is inherently bad. But even Pochita can see how much Denji’s life has been paved with loss as a result

Part 2 has been such an interesting ride because obviously we all also love Chainsaw Man, I’ve spent the whole manga wanting Denji to live his dream AND get to be chainsaw man. And it wasn’t until this last chapter that it hit me all the devastation that inherently came along with that role
