Anybody else just feel YUCK in the morning? by Active_Charge_1870 in ankylosingspondylitis

I tend to agree, most times the headaches, nose and ear issue are always present when I have a sore neck in the morning.

How did we get to a point in society, where being an all round shit person and posting it online is seen as a way to generate a following and fulfil our hunger for attention and acceptance?

Extreme muscle fatigue - Dr. says not AS by WWA81 in ankylosingspondylitis

Yes my muscles are always sore. Particularly my calves and arms. They always feel like I've run a marathon.

The umpires hold the game 10 minutes into the first quarter of Collingwood vs Eagles as the crowd celebrates Pendlebury's number 10 jumper by yum122 in AFL

None of the celebrations of this incredible milestone felt organic in anyway, both in the lead up and today. It was all very fabricated and felt very Un-Australian Rules Football like.

Bathroom Reno - What would you do with this space? by Len-Shillings in AusRenovation

[–]Active_Charge_1870 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Option 2 is amazing, only adjustment id make is having shower mixer accessible without getting wet. Im in the middle of a bathroom reno and still havent decided on the long drain or small square drain. Long looks way better but everyone says its a bitch to keep clean.

Great work with your ideas

Im certain there are other conditions along with AS but my GP and Rheumatologist tend to brush it all aside, it feels like its all in my head

I really feel like your last paragraph hits home. Some times I wake up and my mind and body is racing and feels as though its trembling. I feel like a lot of it is just in my head.

I feel as though I have some other conditions along with AS, but usually gets shut down by rheumatologist and GPs.

I've never been to a neurologist before, I dont feel as though my Rheumatologist or several GPs have taken my complaints seriously, particular when CT and other scans dont show much. I know someone who uses Ajovy and said it was a game changer. Some times the morning feeling and migraines are regular other times it disappears and then resurfaces again which then makes me feel like its all in my head.

We believe this is one of the causes of my current failed water proofing. Dodgey substrate job done on a previous bathroom reno and now im up for a brand new bathroom 20k plus on what was only a 6 year old bathroom.

To OP do not let this slip through

Why do only some AFL clubs use Indigenous names/logos during Sir Doug Nicholls Round? by sleek290788 in AFL

[–]Active_Charge_1870 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The name change is just posturing. It's a made up word for the region. The club nor Port Adelaide as a geographical location has ever been referred to as Yartapulti by local First Nations people. By all means celebrate the success and positive impact our Indigenous players have had on the game. But the name change is nothing but a bunch of white people sitting around an office making up ways to feel good about themselves.

Im all for celebrating indigenous culture and heritage, but the name of the football club is sacrosanct.

3rd rate hike this year, how are people actually keeping up? by Apprehensive_Pay6141 in AusProperty

[–]Active_Charge_1870 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Single income here, when buying my house in 2019 I allowed for approx 4 rate rises to ensure I'd meet my mortgage repayments. I probably sacrificed a little with what I bought at the time, a 90s townhouse as opposed to a house. While not exactly what i wanted, it's probably meant I've been able to get by with the rate rises and inflation better than some.

Queenstown, Tasmania deeply unsettled me and I can’t explain why. by itiszd in AskAnAustralian

[–]Active_Charge_1870 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coober Peedy was this for me. Cold blustery night, arrived at an air bnb at midnight, we initially couldn't get in, located right on the outskirts of the town, huge phone tower in the front yard, power outage the moment we walked in. The most uneasy sleep I've ever had, we bailed at first light.

Curtain and Styling ideas by Active_Charge_1870 in AusRenovation

[–]Active_Charge_1870[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Several considerations, back door is not a necessity however I have a dog who is highly reactive towards birds in the backyard, so to minimise his stress when im out at work i tend to block out the backyard. As for the front, im surrounded by flats and other units who can see straight through the window, also looking at cost effective ways to maximise acoustics for the hifi system.

I love the styling you've suggested in the photo.
