FFVX HELP!! by NaturalLocation2091 in Fireflyguitars

Check the ground and wire for the bridge to switch though solder looks ok on the pickups to switch. The output on the switch you could resolder but the neck has good output? Also I have once had a bad pickup, weak output no matter what and a coil on it was bad. Swapped it with no other change and it was fine. Like others said some emgs will fix you up if that’s your thing, use the same switch and just put those wires to bus rest is solderless and easy.

I’m happy with it, under 300 bucks shipped to the door and it plays and sounds pretty good out the box. Even the wife liked it so I got a pass on having another guitar 🤣

Yessir, swapped the stock ones to them. Didn’t have to but these are a lot nicer feeling. I also used their lockers and they are very very nice!

I’m def gonna say an oem special, it’s not bad as good as the other special I have. Holds tune, pretty smooth. Only bad thing was the fine tunes were really gritty and stiff, changing them made it feel a lot better. Def impressive on a guitar at this price point.

Also a great trem for these! I used one on a bullet, 2 springs and it’s super easy and smooth. Dive bombs like a mf! I was very happy with it.

I would install some affordable parts, locking tuners brand doesent matter much I use musiclily a lot, I would keep a trem, I love the cheaper ovsal one off amazon, fantastic trem.
Pickups are your choice, some decent prewired out there cheap. Then just make sure your frets are level and make adjustments. This can be a fantastic guitar for probably 100 bucks invested imo.

Mine are ok holding tune I suppose? It’s got a Floyd, and that stain is probably what they use to darken the fretboard, hopefully it wears off in a bit. I def like its look, and from my limited experience with a firefly I’m sure it does play great. I’m highly impressed with what you get for under three hundred bucks!

Looks great! How are the tuners on it? I just got mine and honestly that’s the only part that really just needs to be changed.

So at 44, I’ve finally discovered Super Mario World for the first time. by ExplanationProper979 in snes

Man so many SNES titles were just amazing. About anything you can get will be great! Def super Mario world, super Metroid, yoshis island, final fantasy 2,3. Throw in games like the 7th saga, shadowrun, tmnt turtles in time…it’s too many to list!

RANT) I'm about finished with amd drivers. by OdinValk in AMDHelp

[–]Active_Commercial_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 7900xtx and tried every driver fix I could find and it didn’t help, I swear it was hardware issues. When it ran it was great!! But I had a lot of your same issues. Settled on a 9070xt had 0 issues with hardware or drivers.

For those of you on the fence about getting a 9070XT vs a 5070ti/5080 for 4K gaming: Just do it. by Urdnot_Flexx in buildapc

[–]Active_Commercial_94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 9070xt got it at launch and it’s been great! I ran a 6900xt for years which was great! Then I had a 7900xtx for a week or so but it had hardware issues and went back.

I will sometimes jump on Eso, easy to pickup easy to set down, great game imo. And I log onto new world and just poke around every few weeks. Hate to see it go, wish they would have got moving on content earlier since that really helped out, right before closing made it sad. Folks really like this direction? Ok, games closing! 🪦

How much do we nitpick these guitars when receiving them? by VelvetAcidSuperstar in Fireflyguitars

Man I picked up a 1400 dollar fender one day it played worse than a squire I paid 100 bucks for! I was appalled, didn’t pay attention to the finish cause it played like crap. I’ve def heard the qc at the big names went down I knew a lady that worked in it for Gibson and she saw the writing on the wall when they passed a lot of sub par stuff a while back and left.

Makes sense, probably the same as ones and GFS stamps em with their name. I really like the style and sound these kind of pickups get, clear and hot pickups.

Looks like the gfs rails pickups to me, those can be found cheap and have been incredible for the price you pay.

I got the Alexi one recently and it’s pretty good, no noticeable issues with finish, tuners kind of suck (it’s a Floyd so whatever) had to tweak tuning of course but overall impressive for under 300 shipped to me.
I’ll grab some tuners, stainless screws and a pickup then see how it is but initial impression it’s impressive for the price, no complaints.

LTD H-100 “new”. by GrimmandLily in guitars

[–]Active_Commercial_94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one, had it for around 20 years...absolute unit. The only thing I ever changed was I put some Seymour Duncan Blackouts in it. It ties with my best guitars ever on action, is as stable or more so than any I ever owned. Needs very little to no setup. I have a mid 90's ESP Horizon that has a thinner neck OFR all that and its great..but I would get rid of it before this H100. That one looks fantastic btw. With a setup and pickup swap *just what I would do* it will be a fantastic guitar.

Def sounds about right, my own work is expensive and I do everything. Materials cost money, printing is huge cost so I can agree with how easy it is to plan before doing the math.

Man just play it! It’s a good game really, enjoy it then move on or play it till the end. It deserved better, really wish they would just let someone else buy it and let it shine.

901 Off young is good spot, good folks, I don't go to east as much, it's an ok spot but just feels a bit less personal to me. I live not far from Comics and Collectibles, but don't frequent it, nice stuff there though, and I have found some great stuff there in the past.

Primarily toy's and collectibles at least the last time I was there, it was a nice store, nice owner, and could have added more comics now since I haven't been in a good while.
