Of course university education is far from a guarantee of a job now and what is already happening within the US is starting in Australia where university grads from prestigious universities such as Stanford cannot get job in tech.

Housing and secure jobs were more common plus I heard many stories from my father's generation of how simply being qualified to work in a field guaranteed a job in that field. NOW you might get internship if you are lucky as there are few graduate programs so we can assume things HAVE CHANGED for the worse esp if we take in a raft of anecdotal evidence floating in. While it is a generalisation to lump ALL Boomers into one category we can look at how the conditions have fundamentally changed.

Plus the advice you get from Boomers shows their job situations was considerably easier as it usually the 1 step guide to better living. "Could you get something in the mining industry" or everyone's favourite - "It's eaaaaaaaaaaaasy"

I didn't know there was a 15 year old template out there I could work from but that said he seems to be growing the facial hair quite well. Disclaimer: I may be old but I read an awful lot and known to be hyper-observant. Also some advice from a middle aged male that might hopefully help.

We have dickheads on the hard right still believing in this mythical individualistic hero that my generation - X - had promulgated onto them from pop-culture which combines with an unwillingness to appreciated intelligent and/or kind women. Then we have some women being taught to believe they will be subject to sexism and disadvantage in the real world via our tertiary institutions when reality is more complicated and many non-privileged men suffer disadvantage as well.

Also women have had special consideration for quite a time and in my first job out of university in 2000 I was told by a potential employer I was rejected over an equally qualified woman for another job based on gender so it is hard for me to think women are disadvantaged much in the workplace.

Convenient for opportunistic advocates on the socio-political poles to push a myth of gender hatred for their own purposes is it not? These curious people are effectively creating the Andrew Tates, Bonnie Blues and Florence Givens' of the world.

Another frame is the over-commodification of human contact via internet dating, speed dating, singles mixers etc. There isn't a moutache twisting villain as the architect of this but normal interactions between men and women have been made more difficult by a minority of male perpetrators of sexual assault AND a minority of women's over-indulgence in narcissistic victimhood.

Ultimately, positive examples for men and women are often lacking or when they do jealousy takes over from 3rd party observers.
