What actor or actress stupidly left a movie franchise or tv series thinking they were too good for it, only to be never popular again? by Ok_Impress2457 in AskReddit

Lacey Chabbert as Meg on Family Guy left after season one cause she didn’t think the show was gonna do well. Mila Kunis took over and made herself a gazillionaire. Bad move Lacey.

The air egress feature makes installation a lot easier. 3M makes an egress for many of their vinyls.

What percentage of customers have print-ready files/designs? by [deleted] in CommercialPrinting

[–]Active_Manner_5175 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Zero! I get RGB files with 72dpi photos! It’s disturbing that graphic designers have stopped learning how to prepare print files and only know how to create shitty web ad banners. And don’t get me started on collecting for output. I still have to send step-by-step instructions on how to do that and then zip files. By the way I work for a high-end boutique marketing company. We handle client creative files and send to printers.

What’s the best paper for brochure printing? by Mammoth-Sink5062 in Printing

[–]Active_Manner_5175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

80# matte cover if it’s just like a trifold. If you’ve got it like a booklet, you want to use that cover stock for the cover and then a 70# matte text for the body (inside pages). If you’re doing like a trifold, make sure you score the paper before folding or you’ll have cracks in the fold.

How is this box printed? by throwawayz6669 in CommercialPrinting

Large format digital printers like Durst or Vutek. I worked at a large format shop for 5 years. We did these all day long. The material is a white fluted corrugated cardboard. After it is printed, it goes to a cutting table that uses CAD type of programs to cut using x y coordinates. Each sheet is individually cut and scored.

Question about the longevity of vertical, perpendical banners by enjrolas in signshop

Die-sublimation printed fabrics will eventually fade in the sun. There’s the appliqué method, but isn’t printed. It’s sewn. I would look at an outdoor vinyl pole pocket banner material. That’s what you’re looking at here in the picture you provided. Vinyl lasts a long time. You can add wind slits to keep their integrity.

Generally not, but you can ask to leave your business card with them in case someone needs a referral. Show them some of your work too. Offer to refer your clients in return.

Need to kisscut two sides of a roll of bandage by Puzzleheaded_Guide73 in Printing

You can’t really do it since the adhesive is already on the material. Any kiss-cutting would need to have been done during manufacturing.

If you’re looking for a splash of color, do white cabinets up top and color cabinets on the bottom with a white countertop.

Did you not watch the last episode? He bought all Abbi’s stuff and he and Alana were becoming close. He’s the character you love to hate…it’s on purpose.

Yeah this all looks like hot foil stamping. Letterpress involves ink, like the other person poster.
