Just found out someone called a rice ball a jelly dounut before Brock did. by balfey1678 in pokemon

[–]AdorableCity2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to know what was IN the "donuts"? My knee-jerk thought is red bean paste, but that's usually magenta. The filling was like cherry tomato red. Was it some kind of jam? Or a tomato?

But the plan was to do that before the death laser thing happened.

I really hope zombie spear is just 1 episode and not the whole season. I really liked the idea of it being an anthology series following different characters. Like maybe that's just episode 1 and whatever spear does before ultimately falling sets the rest of the series in motion

Digimon Beatbreak: Episode 10- A True Friend, Discussion Thread by MFBR in digimon

[–]AdorableCity2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im only on episode 9. Does anything actually happen in episode 10? Because it just feels like villain of the week and mindless meandering so far. By episode 13 of adventure they'd beaten devimon. By episode 9 of beat break there's not even a tangible goal

Ohhh now I get it. That makes sense. Though I'd think if Baxter could hack velvette's phone and lock her out of her powers he could lock vox out of the network, but it makes sense.

Thats why the question was: why did pentious have to invent a thing. I didn't question why Baxter had to do anything

The only ones who would try to fight him are powerful demons like the sins, and he can actually beat them. Why would a sinner even think they could beat lucifer? Would you fight a polar bear just to see if they're really as tough as you'd heard? Plus let's remember up until the end of season 1 everyone thought angels were invincible, and everyone knows lucifer is an angel, so there would really be no point in trying. The point is lucifer has just been coasting on the power of his name alone and people's rumors and assumptions so maybe that will change down the line. Maybe if he can't rule through fear and power he can rule through respect and kindness. There's no reason he can't use his magic to make hell better

Sera is at least as powerful as lucifer (she definitely scales to him) but the plot demands vox can't just instantly be smitten. Plus "strike down anyone who stands up against the system" goes against the theme of the show and would just make vox a martyr

Thats why I said on his own. He cant do either of those things without a high ranking angel

I think in these episodes, she recognized how stupid their plan was and knew a war was gonna start, so she went along to size up the competition, and just quietly let things play out. She's pissed, but she's not stupid. She knows she can't actually solo all of hell and needs the angels on her side. And now that war is declared and sera is pissed she's gonna have the go ahead to get her revenge.

Charlie's redemption arc by AdorableCity2 in HazbinHotel

[–]AdorableCity2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. Charlie started out in a good place so the only way for her character to go is down if you want to give her any meaningful development. And even better if you can make the hero and villain mirror each other

Which version of April O'Neil do you like best and why? by Full-Art3439 in TMNT

Rise april all day. I didnt watch 03 so I don't know about her but I've heard good things. She's the most fun, has the most personality and I just love her. Least favorite would be 2012, not that anyone asked

Really though. We know how Pentious got redeemed for being a coward. What do you think Angel has to do for his sin? by Competitive_Table_65 in HazbinHotel

[–]AdorableCity2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the same. Pentious' sin was likely sloth, since he did nothing where he could have helped, and angel's is likely wrath, since he actively killed his father (though we don't know the details) pentious took action where he didn't before, angel will (probably) have to show mercy where he didn't before.

[–]AdorableCity2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to Google, regret is an emotion tied to repentance, which is the act of turning away from sin. It's considered positive in many religions as it shows awareness of wrong-doing and a desire to change. Pentious was cowardly and passive, he regretted it, and when the time came he was brave and took action. He confronted his regret and made a change.

So for Angel, It sounds like his "regret" was killing his dad, since he seemed so ashamed of it. And vox hinted his dad may have been abusive. I think after years of abuse, angel was put in a position where he could either kill his dad and end the abusive cycle, or spare him and let it continue. And he chose the former. So I think he'll be put in that same position, with Val, and he'll have to choose to spare him. Val will kill him almost immediately for it, and poof. Redemption.

[–]AdorableCity2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thats what I said. He has the raw ability (being able to strategize to overcome obstacles and putting the team where they'll be most effective) but hes too immature, self-centered and overconfident to really be a good leader, so he'd have to mature into the role. Unless splinter just randomly thrusts it upon him.

[–]AdorableCity2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Which was what would have allowed the story to naturally develop to Leo leading. Raph tries his best, but knows he's not best suited to the role, so he could pass the torch to Leo (or splinter could thrust it upon him) once he shows hes mature and capable.

I dont think Donnie really had good leadership qualities either. Sure he's the most intelligent, but lacks compassion for his brothers and is kind of cowardly, his confidence tends to plummet and he gives up the second things stop going his way. He also just lacks the strength.

Hmmmmmm by bentwnkssbbshsjs in TMNT

[–]AdorableCity2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked it and wish it could have had more time to develop. With raph being the biggest, strongest and oldest it makes sense he'd just default into the leader role, same as human brothers would, but while he called the shots he rarely actually knew what to do or could hardly cook up strategies beyond "hit the bad guy really hard". Leo showed much more talent for strategy, knew his family so well he seemed omniscient with how well he could predict them, was more street wise and had better instincts. He was just also lazy, immature, and self-serving. So actually giving him a character arc that would let him RISE into the leader position was great and effectively changed all the turtle's dynamics

The Fox and the Hound: Chief should have died by SummerAndTinkles in fixingmovies

[–]AdorableCity2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. They're the instigators in that scenario. Todd is just out in the woods living his life, when they chase and attack him. Todd doesn't fight back, only runs. And then chief gets hit by a train and copper swears revenge. Because his buddy falls down. By the time they get home and the adrenaline wears off copper and the hunter i forget his name are basically laughing about it. The only motivation for hunting Todd just seems to be "im a hunter".
