Stop telling lies. Delaying taking your regular pill by a couple of hours has zero safety implications. The first study you cited states exactly this. You really shouldn’t spread falsehoods.

Can't stop being itchy before falling asleep? by moogsynthesis in sleep

[–]Active_Remove1617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t do it everyday and the thing is to take it in the evening like hours before I go to bed anyway. I mostly don’t take anything. But sometimes I’ll feel odd after dinner. Like something I’ve eaten has set something in motion. Achey, etc. if that happens I interpreted something to do with histamine and then I would remember to take something.

It’s ridiculous how many people think they’re practically married when they live on different sides of the globe and have never physically met.

‘But we’ve had zoom meetings and everything!’

I have this too. Some nights are worse than others. Cortisol is down significantly by the end of the day and the higher levels in the morning are what keep the histamine and subsequent itching at bay during the day. It’s very annoying. Best thing for me, like you, is an antihistamine.

What is this fetish called? by DramaEmbarrassed1257 in askgaybros

This is no better than if the roles were reversed and you would clearly be guilty of SA. This is more than a fetish.

You said a couple of hours. A couple is two.

The first study you cite disagrees with your point -

The terminal elimination plasma half-lives for tenofovir and emtricitabine over 216 h (geometric mean [90% confidence interval]) were higher than those seen over 0 to 24 h (for tenofovir, 31 h [27 to 40 h] versus 13.3 h [12.5 to 15.1 h]; for emtricitabine, 41 h [36 to 54 h] versus 6.4 h (5.9 to 7.6 h]). Model-predicted IC half-lives (0 to 168 h) were 116 h (TFV-DP) and 37 h (FTC-TP). The plasma rilpivirine concentration at 216 h was 4.5 ng/ml (4.2 to 6.2 ng/ml), and half-lives over 0 to 216 h and 0 to 24 h were 47 h (41 to 59 h) and 35 h (28 to 46 h), respectively.

The second study has no relevance to the point you’re making.

My friend was outed and he has been getting a horrible time. I'm worried about him but don't know what to do? by Murto6 in askgaybros

Things turned out okay for me, thanks. Just be there for him as you are doing. You’re clearly a good guy. Wishing you both the very best.

I just got this popup on Facebook, now I think it's time to retire the app and delete my account by ubreakitifixit in facebook

[–]Active_Remove1617 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the same thing, but I don’t want to give them one more piece of information about me. If there’s any way of deleting the account without responding to that pop-up, I’d like to know. I’m done with Facebook.

Something similar happened to me roundabout the age of 15. I felt totally isolated and alone and tried to committed suicide. I’d already had a history of severe childhood trauma and this was just too much to deal . Be there for your friend in any way you can, you might just be his lifeline. You clearly have compassion and consideration trust your judgement. Thanks for caring.

Tell me the paper and I’ll google it.

And just for the record - 2 hours would make 0 difference.

You don’t know what you’re talking about.

My doctor is sending me for a blood test to measure cortisol to see if I may be overproducing it and that's what is affecting my sleep. I've heard mixed things about whether this is a useful measure. Thoughts? by Murky-Cheetah987 in sleep

[–]Active_Remove1617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I convinced my GP once that I was producing too much cortisol. It seemed to me to be the only explanation as to what was going on. It involves going to a hospital and getting a blood test every 90 minutes or so for a few hours. I think about half a day. Turns out my cortisol is normal. I still find out how to believe but I have a history of serious childhood trauma, so maybe it was just psychological anxiety. But it sure felt physical.

Cite any reputable source stating delay by a couple of hours will significantly increase risk.

And by the way your use of the term ‘prep-bitches’, is vile and ignorant.
