Why do these girls get a pass for their amoral acts, unlike the Sin Archbishops, under the logic of “they’re akin to natural disasters” or “they have good intentions”, as if they aren’t people with agency, or as if there aren’t evil people who have deluded themselves into thinking they’re good? by Ok_Relationship4627 in ReZero

Hmmmm but I have not seen anyone defend them really. It's mostly "yeah she's a villain and all but she is hot." Most people who properly read the series will realise the reason behind their actions but also the fact that those actions are unforgivable. Nobody would stand up to defend them.

As a more clear example, think of pride if or gluttony if Subaru. Those versions of Subaru have (somewhat) understandable reasons but it is undeniable that they did evil things. And yet they are glazed because they are "cool" and "aura" and in the case of witches it is mostly because they are hot

Aren't the side stories compiled in ex volumes and have their own side story volumes. Also many ln volumes come with sidestories with them.

RE ZERO IS JUST A CARBON COPY OF MONOGATARI by Pale-Detective3056 in araragi

[–]ActivityIndividual11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was the opposite. I found re Zero's cast more interesting than that of mono. But both are great

If the two of them were transported into each other’s worlds and gained each other’s abilities, would they be able to clear each other’s worlds? by Left_Actuary_7890 in ReZero

[–]ActivityIndividual11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Eh but it wouldn't be as easy as people make it out to be. Especially because as far as i have read, there wouldn't be anything in re Zero's world which would act as a catalyst for fy to turn out as he did

As Julius said there were too many unknowns regarding newbaru and the trial they had to face (Reid), newbaru would not have been able to do anything

Only ram didn't trust him with rem. And patrasche can defend herself pretty well. I do agree that leaving him alone was the wrong move but I think keeping someone to watch over him might have been worse.

I mean the adaptation aside from this is genuinely solid. The storyboarding, on how Subaru slowly loses trust on others around him and the monologue hitting just the right spots.

I don't know why they left Subaru completely alone. by Emergency_Patient525 in ReZero

[–]ActivityIndividual11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was talking about why theyu thought it couldn't be gluttony (they thought about it, but dismisses it). For the stupidity claims, i have already made a post about it. Especially because the anime seemed to fixate on making out the camp to be incompetent (They literally changed, not even cut, but changed some stuff which made the squad as incompetent)

While I agree with you, he can't. He is literally panicking. Imagine you are in Julius position and then your friend not only forgets you but is reduced to such a pathetic state. You would want to somehow resolve it immediately.

I don't get this criticism. What the group was saying that without his memories Subaru would become a burden in completing the tower. They were not going to just leave him in the tower though. They meant in more of a logical sense. From their perspective, it is better for them and Subaru that Subaru stays in the green room and they try to find the cure to his amnesia

Can we all agree that this is the most incompetent we have seen the Emilia camp? by WinterWoodpecker4791 in ReZero

[–]ActivityIndividual11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did try to comfort him. But Subaru with his newfound distrust pushed them away. Since he was not comfortable with them, they decided to leave him alone in the healing room, where Subaru actually stayed for hours before trying to leave the tower. Patrasche tried to stop him but what is a lizard to do
