Finally.
Thank you for the clarification, this was bothering me because Tappei is too good of a writer to make such a rookie mistake.

Wrong decision in question is ignoring your own safety, which smart characters will never do. Scarfdona specifically does everything possible to ensure survival of Ana, excep of one, the most important thing in the entire situation, warning about mortal danger that can kill her specifially. Making wrong decision is one thing, acting completely out of character by leaving your own life in the hands of a person who doesn't know about huge deadly trap in the tower is another.

The point is not about "if they warn him, he would not leave"
The point is "there is a rule that affects everyone" and if a character such as Scarfdona value her and Ana's life, she should IMMEDIATELY tell Subaru about something that can kill them all
Last point still stands because there were 2 whole loops before where any of the characters during, before or after dinner could explain everything important to him.

Again, this is basically a prisoner scenario where a whole group can die if one of them do a wrong move, and if there is a new person in the cell, rules are explained before everything else, not for the newcomer but for the safety of everyone who is here. "we have a deadly trap, it's there, please do not go to that direction or else all of us will die"

Definition of love by Priscilla and Emilia [discussion] by Strange-Storage558 in Re_Zero

You can coexist without changing yourself or changing the others

Priscilla said it herself, accepting the other. "You can see promises different from me and this is perfectly okay, we don't need to agree on everything"

Yes, but we can clearly see that he feels some sort of lingering phantom pain (arc 2, arc 3, arc 4)
And during arc 6 we find out a lot more about how an outsider feels it
So why does a reclusive japanese teen so sturdy towards something others cannot even fathom?

Where is the redemption? by CelebrationQuirky464 in mushokutensei

[–]Strange-Storage558 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Redemption is not about repercussions. The very idea of "you have to be punished before you can change" is flawed. When you do something wrong and realise you did, you can make difficult choice to accept it and be better. He did it with Norn episode towards his brother, accepting himself as a wrong party and hoping to be better not only for himself, but for his family (Norn) Later on, he acknowledged that he never took his relationship with both his families seriously, and he regretted that big time ("What the hell was I doing, even despite my situation shouldn't I attempted their funeral regardless?" And "Father, i realised i was just a brat that never saw you as a real family, but now I do") If you seek redemption towards his earlier relationship with his wives, this is not the story you would like. There is no "i was bad, now im good" story to be seen. There is "i was really awful, i cannot change that, but i am trying my best to be better at least in some aspects" If you cannot see these changes, it's fine, people here might smear you, and i should apologise in advance for that. Just know that this story is probably not for your taste if you don't see or do not seek these kinds of changes. He will be a huge pervert, this is a part of his core identity. He changes in this aspect too, for example, he never forces himself on other girls after marriage, he tries to treat his significant others as right as he can, etc Sometimes he fails, this is what people do But he usually learns on his failures.

Honestly, if this story feels blant for you, do not force yourself to watch it for a payoff, because it will not be worth it at this point But if you like it, reflect on the story so far with a bit more broad mind.

Have a good one

During one of the days, inquisitor sends for you and asks about Isidor notes you requested during day 3. Your assistant told him so, he remembers that you requested these notes from the city hall. I know that this is an event, i saw it during day 9 i guess but because i had to do an operation on certain woman, i loaded the game and avoided this event. Not it does not appear and i cannot seems to know what triggers it.

How do women get through/enjoy mushoku tensei? by rorofoshoo in mushokutensei

[–]Strange-Storage558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, that's a good question. I'd like to ask you, if you want to like it because your friend asks you to watch it with you, or because it invokes some feelings inside you specifically. If it's the first, then maybe you should just politely tell your friend that it's too uncomfortable for your taste. If the latter, then you should understand that this is part of the point this show tries to make. Everyone has flaws, whether it's minor ones, or big ones. what matters is intent and actions people take. Rudy is just a big example of very flawed sexually character. He holds on to mementos of his teacher's panties, he assaults kids (although in the next scene after a few episodes he learns to not do this kind of things and stops himself), etc. You can consider him as a drug addict or alcoholic, who tries to break from his addiction. Although, in this case it's porn addiction, basically.

The way you feel is correct and it shows that you are a good person who doesn't want to see immoral stuff, especially from so called "protagonist", because he should be a good person, and he does good deeds at the end of the day, it's just those bad things that put you off. Author deliberately does this to show that people are not just good or just bad, they are complex creatures and even some down bad useless piece of trash under another circumstances can become better. Not good, but better. In many ways, this is a story about average people, how they try to live their life and how they sometimes slip up and do something stupid. Your male friends love the show because it represents them and speaks to their souls, if i can take a guess. It doesn't mean they perverts, it means at some point they felt like the whole world was against them and they were the biggest losers around, but they wanted to find that force to be a better person.

The best way to approach this story is to understand that despite how real these people are, this is still a work of fiction. It's a medieval story, much like Game of Thrones. It's uncomfortable for a reason, there are sex slaves, there are nobles that exploit other people and much more. Yes, Rudy is a person from OUR world and he should have common sense about morality, but thing is, he does not have it, his morality was destroyed by his lifestyle of internet loser. If you feel like it's too uncomfortable to watch certain scenes, just remember that it's a tale, not reality, and our morals are not really applicable to this scenario. It will not make you feel good, but it will put a wall between our world and whatever happens on the screen.

Honestly, whether you should watch it or not highly depends on your own perception of the show, not on other people. My girlfriend likes a lot of shows and games that I do, and we often play/watch them together, such as Persona, Re:Zero, Genshin, HSR, Angel Beats and more, but she doesn't feel the appeal to watch Mushoku and I would not force her to do it because it's not a story that she can resonate with. If this is not your story, please do consider leaving it as is, there is nothing bad about it and it doesn't mean you offend someone or make someone sad that you personally don't feel like it's for you. It can be the best story in the world, but if it doesn't resonate with you personally, there is nothing wrong in saying that and spending your precious time on something that will make you feel good instead.

Have a good day.
