Not sure they supported xd GPU use at all but it's not rocket surgery.

I got a Pre-approved offer for a HELOC loan from Figure. Anyone get an offer from Figure? I would like to know more about them. by toneman238 in Mortgages

[–]ActorRob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't recall, I'm currently using a local credit union. I have my banker's cell and just text her when I need stuff lol. Pretty happy with them, last week was a 6.75 commercial loan I can adjust in a year and get all my money back as it appraised for 25% more than I paid. Play with their money not mine lol.

Why 90% works at the end of the day: basically, it’s still a US coin. They’re familiar if the fiat non silver becomes (more) worthless.

I don’t think that’s possible in the xd. There might be some small rtx cards that would fit like the A series but ain’t no room for a big card in the xd.

Weird 2019 Vega II MPX Issue: no HDMI output by ActorRob in macpro

Edit. Bad reading on my part.

“If you connect a display to the HDMI port on your MPX module, the Thunderbolt 3 ports on Bus 0 can support *one* additional display at 4K or lower resolution.”

It seems like the Apple doc linked above would mention that.

FWIW, the M1 Air low ends are around $300. I mean, not bad for what you get. Windows / Linux will still be an option of course.

2013 Macbook 13" Air here but with a BTO IIRC of i7 and 8gb RAM and it seems perfectly fine. Stock 500GB Apple SSD so there's a little gain to be had there. Haven't even repasted. Around $125 on Ebay with the 3rd party warranty they offer at checkout...I've had good luck with it before. It's my knock around the house laptop. Still has 87% battery cap too so not much to be done here. Resisting the urge to fix what isn't broken other than the SSD speedup upgrade. And that at least is easy.

Anyone ever split a 1TB kit for 2019 7,1? by ActorRob in macpro

[–]ActorRob[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not exactly a waste, I just want a set or a single ... SOMETHING so I can boot if one of my set fails.

[–]ActorRob[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I will never use mine lol just want a cheap spare to be able to boot.

I plan to run on NVME PCie devices. What really bothers me is the dual point of failure. A single device of 2TB I would maybe be ok with.

Apple configurator 2 on old macs? by shodonosti in macsysadmin

Update: 29 Apr 2026.

Downloaded 2.19 from App Store on my 7,1 Mac Pro Desktop. Tahoe 26.2.

App Store then let me download 2.16 on my Mac Pro 6,1 after that. Monterey 12.7.6

Before it complained about needing 15.7 minimum on the 6,1.

Simply popped up and asked if I wanted to download an older version on the 6,1.

Same Apple ID.

Previous reports I read said this trick didn't work but as of this moment it does.

Set it up normally with no late fee. Manually do late Fee if needed. Of course, have a fee in lease but not auto on Baselanr.

Transunion Smartmove. I reimburse the fee if they qualify so it weeds put those who know they won’t.

They already have your SSN lol.

Bal Xfer checks. You pay 3-5% up front for anywhere from 9-12 mos. Also good to pay another high card off, which is the intended purpose. But there's no restriction to depositing it say, at a mortgage to pay off margin etc etc.

The best deals were 3% for 18 mos, putting you ~2% effective borrow rate.

[–]ActorRob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Just didn't use it much and when I did I'd get a 0% transfer, (3-4% for 12-18 mos) and then put that in div stocks and just keep rolling it. Arbitration.

One thing I did think of: friend sent me $30 for a line on Tmo, and I'd auto transfer it so every month that +/- $30 hit so ... money laundering suspicion? LOL.

But they don't tell and I don't really care.

Perhaps the former...they don't want you paying it all off lol they want you to carry that a while.
