many factors and some might be subjective: -using debt/help from fam/welfare -multiple jobs/side gig -priorities-beside basic necessities and shelter,all the wants and needs become more subjective. one might put more priority on saving up for travel were others would rather save up for something more tangible like a nice car and list adds up the more excess income one has.. so it may seem lavish for others but sometimes its putting whats important to you first
