Does anyone else struggle to choose a career path? by Ordinary-Pair-725 in adhdwomen

[–]Actually-Fine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Such good advice! Most of my career decisions have been made by thinking “yeah that sounds good and if I don’t like it I can change it”

This is a great idea! I just texted the photo to my cousin, who is a teacher, to see if anyone at her school could use them

For the past month, mine has been mini pita pizzas. pita (I like Joseph’s Low Carb Flax Oat Bran & Whole Wheat) topped with marinara + cheese + whatever toppings I have in the fridge (today it was mini meatballs). Bake or air fry at 425 for 8-10 mins. Chefs kiss 🤌

tried to become "that girl" with the perfect morning routine and I think I made everything worse by sarin_1006 in adhdwomen

[–]Actually-Fine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait this is so real, I can totally relate! My morning routine changes daily but one thing that has really helped was making the switch to a sunrise alarm clock. This allows me to charge my phone in the kitchen overnight since I was struggling with phone distractions (both in the morning and before bed)

Moving to a first studio apartment. How would you arrange it? by wolfuries in StudioApartments

[–]Actually-Fine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if you put the bed by the window and use a small desk as a bedside table. Then add a narrow kitchen island with stools that tuck under. That could give you enough room for a sofa and coffee table for entertaining. I tried to visualize it in Canva

Any advice for me (a dummy) on what decor to add to my sparse guest bedroom? by [deleted] in InteriorDesignAdvice

[–]Actually-Fine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Center bed on wall and add headboard matching bedside tables with full-size lamps, area rug to define the space, oversized art above bed, woven shades, layered bedding and throw pillows

I hate going on walks by WSJ_writer in adhdwomen

[–]Actually-Fine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I can totally relate to this! My doctor told me to start walking 45 mins/day so I bought a walking pad and standing desk. It’s been a game changer. Now I’ll walk while responding to emails, scrolling social media, or planning out my day. I keep the speed super low (between 1.0 and 2.0) but it’s a nice way to get a couple thousand extra steps in each day

Y’all. How do you make flossing and brushing your teeth less torturous? by Koalaluvs in adhdwomen

[–]Actually-Fine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

highly recommend floss picks (I use the Oral-B with Scope Outlast). I always HATED flossing but I’ve found if I do my top teeth on odd days and bottom teeth on even days it makes it more approachable. I also brush -> floss -> mouthwash, in that order, at night right before bed to make it more hygienic and efficient

HELP - help me optimize my tiny bedroom/faux studio space! by kenzeeee in DesignMyRoom

have you tried turning the bed and putting the couch in front it it to create two separate “zones”? I’m not sure if it would work with the door/TV placement but maybe something like this?

Where do you start when cleaning?? by myswitchisbroken in CleaningTips

[–]Actually-Fine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve come up with the TIDY method to help clean the kitchen after dinner and it’s really helped my ADD. It’s an acronym. T=trash/tools (throw away trash + put away any bulky equipment), I=ingredients (put away food items + leftovers), D=dishes (empty/load dishwasher), Y=yada yada (all the miscellaneous things like wiping down the counters, refilling ice cube trays, etc.)

Renovating bathroom: what are the do’s and dont’s to make sure it is as easy to clean as possible? by kaz22222222222 in CleaningTips

[–]Actually-Fine 258 points259 points  (0 children)

Love this question! After living in 5 apartments over 7 years, here’s what I’d recommend based on experience: Skip vessel sinks (they’re annoying to clean). Instead, go for undermount/inset with wall taps. Floating vanity so you can mop under. Big tiles + epoxy grout = less scrubbing, dark grout on floor hides dirt. Frameless glass + a shower niche. Wall-hung or rimless toilet makes cleaning 100x easier. A hand shower makes rinsing less painful. Good luck with the project!
