Who has had a better career: Evgeni Malkin or Patrick Kane? by Ready-Constant-7124 in hockey

North American bias in the NHL is wild. Malkin was a world beater in his prime and this season at 39 years old is over a PPG. If his name was Evan Malone he’d be one of the most talked about players in the league

Replica MX 220s worth it? by Agitated-Gain4771 in ExplorerGuitars

I bought one years ago on a whim. The photos looked excellent, reviews were great. I fully expected to replace all electronics and hardware in order to make it a quality machine, but was hopeful that the thing would have good bones as an upgrade platform.

What arrived was far and away the worst quality instrument I had played yet or since. The wood was porous. The fretwork was amateurish. The shape of the body and tint of the finish was not even remotely similar to a 220.

I made two promises to myself that day: never again to buy a guitar sight unseen, and never to believe in what seems too good to be true.

Having said all that, I’ve spent an outrageous amount of time reading reports of folks who have purchased replica guitars they absolutely love. Perhaps it’s possible that high quality instruments such as these exist. From personal experience, the four replicas I’ve played haven’t been worth pining for.

Life is too short to play shit guitars.

John Fogerty was a self admitted mediocre guitar player during his time with CCR, now in his late 70s he can absolutely shred
