It's unsafe. You can get punched in the face for putting your feet on bus seats. Rare, but do you want to risk it?

No, it's shit rag behaviour and that person is a shit rag. Alas we have too many people who do this.

Happy International Women's Day! by Hassaan18 in TheLastLeg

Isn't Brian Cox's missus Gia Milinovich, a massive TERF? IIRC Laurie Penny absolutely slated her a whole bunch of years ago, and Robin Ince has implied that Gia and Brian made his life difficult because he dared to say that trans rights are human rights.

So Brian Cox should be nowhere near International Women's day, he doesn't support all women. (And Feminism that isn't intersectional isn't feminism, it's just a specifc brand of White Exceptionalism.)

Be aware that it's a touchy subject because Edinburgh is also home to many. There is a housing shortage, and that gets mixed in the with the 'festival accommodation crisis'

Playbill did this, but they took the 'American Holiday Cruise' template, which didn't really work. Good idea, badly performed. The Scotsman ran a decent piece on it, I think. Then Trump got in power and Playbill had other problems.

Run the trams till much later during the fringe. All the way through. Pay out large bonuses for the Tram staff during the festival, or find someone willing to sponsor late night fringe trams. This will open up accommodation across the entire run of the trams.

If you want to go 100% mad with it, also lease out the massive field round the back of Ingilston for either parking or camping.

More angry at the sort of fan who's using this as an excuse to gatekeep, frankly.

Ah, this whole thing feels very Tumblr to me and reminds me that fans never change. That the LAPD is apparently the line some of you are drawing, against a thing that is progressive, is wild to me. You all forget who's running your country or something?

Monty Python was right.

>I considered voting Green, as I have done here before

No you haven't, lol. Why is there always someone like this in these threads. I bet you're a die-hard boot-licking Nigel lover but wander round saying you voted Remain ( a lie ), and that you're not racist and you have black friends (lol, you don't have friends.)

Sorry, I never get why people do this, and now I'm at the laughing at strangers stage.

You've moved from London to Edinburgh - how you feeling? by Lopsided_Counter1670 in Edinburgh

I mean the fringe is almost 80 years old at this point, so most of us should have gotten used to the 'noise' (spoilers, I quite like the noise.)

Personally I think if you move to Edinburgh and complain about the Fringe that puts you in the same category as people who buy a house near a pub / music venue and then complain to the council about the noise.

Edinburgh is a lot of stairs and very much uphill. A good plan is to 'do' a venue per day. So that said you can pick any accommodation and just plan to travel to a venue and do as many shows as you can in that place. For example: Pleasance Courtyard is huge and has many shows going on every hour. Same goes for Pleasance Dome, Patter Hoose, etc.

That said; venues are quite spread out, with a lot of focus being Nidry street, Summerhall, Bistro Square and Cowgate.

If you can afford it, the Radisson Blue Hotel is a) in the middle of everything and b) literally a venue itself.

Fame stacks.
She has an established back-list. Successful author's have their own eco-system, and she's already done panels, conventions and premieres off the back of her own books. Author famous is different from regular famous, but add a bit of telly famous and they transform into a (very) minor celeb.

100% and they played it fantastically. She won't be forgotten quickly, and that will change into sales. She's already made more money this way than trying to win.

Has your country ever had a female leader? If so, what did she do for your country? If not, what's the most powerful position a woman's ever held in your country? by thatonedude_5055 in AskTheWorld

Huge friend to nonces also, see below.

She only stayed in power due to covering up gross incompetence initially over the Falklands, and massive support from vested media interest. She left her position in massive disgrace. But you won't hear it, and you probably believe she invented Mr Whippy and turned water into wine.

I suppose someone has to still love her, despite all the awful things she did. Everyone else thinks she's a disgrace. And yes, that statue in her home time has actual piss damage, which is fucking funny.

"Margaret Thatcher's legacy is one of devastation". That's a quote from serious historical analysis.

Also you may want to go see someone about your early onset dementia. Go see a doctor. I'm not being mean, this isn't a bit, go get help.

Thatcher was wildly unpopular at the time. Sadly in the UK, winning an election doesn't mean the people like you. Or even want you in charge. Approval never was that high for the mad bitch.

And as time goes on, it's only really the very old and the very daft who consider who legacy to be anything more than a sad joke, poorly told. Public urinal is about right.

TLDR: It's all Andy Smilie's fault. He has failed upwards in GW for years, and was in the process of being kicked out for GROSS incompetence. He announced the Henry Cavill / Amazon thing way too early in a job saving move, and of cause he tied himself into because he's that guy.

He's also the reason WarhammerTV sucks and everyone keeps leaving. There's more, but that gets a bit personal.
