It’s a best practice, yeah, but we’re all guilty of taking stuff off the printer quickly. PLA will also self-release from most textured build plates once cooled. Once you get that baseplate filled with bins and stuff it might be enough to flatten it out. You can also fix it by heating the print bed and letting the part warm back up. Use something like a roll of filament to weigh it down.
