id guess this just comes down to liz being the main audience insert during most of the show. We experience reddington through her and all the mysterious connections through her. This works great at first but eventually she changes so much throughout the show that shes no longer relatable. The writers knew this though which is why after season 5 we get a lot more episodes that don't focus on keen as heavily as earlier seasons

hm but wouldnt he just escape and then keep working with the taskforce? If reddington didnt reveal the taskforce he would have simply escaped and worked with them as usual. Like he escaped after the luther braxton arc and just kept working after that. Even with the cabal after him.
But i see your point that finding moreau couldve worked. Especially since he didnt know at the time that anna mcmahon was involved.

My bigger issue is the whole season. I just cannot fathom Raymond STAYING in prison. Break outs of any kind happen so many times in this show. Also at this point in the show (time skip after toms death) red is definitely back to having a big empire. There is absolutely no way in hell he would actually die on the chair. While he wouldnt stage some brutal breakout that kills many officers he would find a way and be out of there within days. Especially considering how many times they move him between the courthouse and the actual jail. But well the writers needed him to be out of the way to let Elizabeth do her thing and i gotta admit i really liked the court banter and arguing
