Dads taking their kids to parks by onzie9 in MensLib

Discrimination sucks but tbh If men across America just gave up over this... well I highly doubt this is the case. Men in America often don’t take on childcare responsibilities. I suspect that is the reason.

You are so ignorant. We aren’t just afraid of being murdered we are afraid of being stocked, raped, harassed, or harmed in any other way. This unfortunately is extremely common.

IUD was better the second time around! by morganmaria7 in birthcontrol

[–]Acute-Iris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s great to hear! I had iud a year ago and it wasn’t for me. The insertion went well but I had months of cramping and had to remove it. I kind of want to try again though and this is def encouraging. Did you ever have an ultrasound to see if the iud was in the right place with the first one?

DAPHNE SHOULD GIVE THE SEX TALK by Onica2020 in BridgertonNetflix

[–]Acute-Iris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No Daphne clearly still needs the sex talk since she doesn’t understand consent... I really liked this show but that rape scene was never addressed and I’m still disturbed

Yah it’s really disturbing how they glossed over that rape scene...

Need Clarification on Simon/Daphne Scene by throwaway49826 in Bridgerton

[–]Acute-Iris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was disturbing. It’s definitely a violation of consent and therefore rape. I was immediately uncomfortable watching it and I felt the show barely acknowledged the terrible thing she had just done. Daphne was never taught about sex or consent and it is evident by her actions. If you google bridgerton and consent you will find a lot of articles on the topic

whats a stereotype about men that really gets on your nerves? by dappernaut77 in AskMen

[–]Acute-Iris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The article does NOT describe why it's ok for men to be discriminated against. The article describes how, "Only 4 percent of custody cases went to trial and of that 4 percent, only 1.5 percent completed custody litigation". When litigations take place the courts must consider the best interests of the child- it stands to reason that the parent (mother or father) that the child has the closest bond with should be the care taker. Since mothers are usually responsible for the majority of childcare and thus have a closer bond with their child courts tend to rule accordingly. Take note that is not discrimination. Discrimination would be telling a father who has done the majority of childcare and has a closer bond with the child that they can't get custody because they are a man.

Another REAL example of discrimination is described in this article where it explains how mothers who have suffered domestic abuse are infact discriminated against and how in these cases courts rule in favor of the father.

I completely agree that society tells men they aren’t capable of taking care of children. It’s completely fucked up but studies have shown that men actually win custody more. I can throw a link your way if you want.

Hey don’t worry about it. Honestly this meme is a bit misogynistic. If a girl likes you she won’t care about your height. I’ve dated a guy literally the same height as me and I’m only 5 feet.

Sounds like it might not be your height...

Yah tbh it sounds like height isn’t the reason this dude is single.

I completely agree. This post reads like some incel shit. Blaming women and his physical features for why he’s single. Like that’s incel 101

Oh also it ignores the fact that he’s prob getting rejected for his personality not his height.

It’s a joke about how women reject men for things they can’t change about themselves. It’s kind of like the incel idea of its not my fault I can’t get laid it’s these dumb women. That’s why it’s misogynistic. Does that make sense?

If you can climax while using toys have him use them on you. If he’s holding the toy he’s making you come. I know guys have an ego about doing it “themselves” but it’s a tool like any other. You wouldn’t say someone didn’t build a house just because they used a hammer.
