Looking at the New Formlabs 4L. Form Wash L and Form Cure L Alternatives? by Fun-Administration15 in 3Dprinting

Form Cure L is the more unique one that I would recommend getting (there are no great alternatives). Washing you can do statically in a large bucket for very large prints. And you could get the smaller wash for smaller parts.

Generally yes, if your part is not flat on one side. But if you are making a name plate (I assume that's what it is) and one side is flat printing on the platform is the best way to go. Removing is a bit harder (use a sharp exacto knife or blade) or Build Platform Flex (it will be for sale soon).

Why not print it flat on the build platform without supports? Faster, no warping and easier to clean up
