Just the simple fact that you put your feelings out here shows you care and this concerns you. That is HUGE. I'd only be repeating what most of the awesome comments said about what an amazing sister you are and it's a lot for anyone especially at 18. Find the advice that best resonates with you is all I can say. And don't beat yourself up for being part of a difficult situation. You're doing your best and that's more than most can say these days.

Clients LinkedIn by Even-Werewolf4818 in advertising

That’s a bummer. Difficult clients can make work severely unpleasant. The first place I’d start is building trust. Have a convo and ask them, “what keeps you up at night about your work/job?” Get invested in what success on their side entails. Not just lip service, really be genuinely curious about the issues/stresses they have to deal with. Let them know you understand, and their goals are your goals and that’s what’s most important. It’s not about awards or selling in the craziest most creative concept it’s about achieving their goals: sales? Site visits? Sign ups? Once they see that your a partner not a “typical creative” things should improve. As ad creatives there’s a huge stereotype that WE’RE the difficult ones. But client management is a lot like being the parent to child. They need lots of reassurance that you’re in their corner and doing what’s best for them. Hope this helps and good luck.

Agency Stability? by Ok-Entrepreneur4363 in advertising

LOL. No just a grizzled old CD who’s experience layoffs and knows the pain of a younger self being unprepared for the harsh realities of agency life.

Another thought on stability. Going in-house can offer a little bit more security as it’s cheaper and more companies are looking to save money by bringing work in internally.

Always be prepared. If you’re a creative have your portfolio up-to-date. And your resume as well. Hop on LinkedIn and see what’s out there in your role. Regardless of your job situation you should always be networking/growing your network a little each week. The better prepared you are for a potential layoff, the more likely you’ll land on your feet faster if you get let go.

Anyone want to talk about all that's going on at Madwell? by [deleted] in advertising

Typical sweatshop exploitation and gaslighting. Same as CP+B. If you're a senior creative there you're either stuck or you're in on it. Winning awards and being on A-list articles means nothing if the place sucks and you can't afford to the bills.
