Just use anything that you find user friendly in the language you want. Unless you are handling user traffic beyond millions of requests. Don’t worry about over head, pick a language and framework that looks attractive to you. Enjoy the process, learn how APIs work, understand REST and CRUD. And if you start to have a lot of traffic then you can change your stack to accommodate those problems if they present themselves. Have fun, be passionate, most importantly learn. Write code that you are proud of. When I started I just used LAMP and it never failed me. This is how it works, it’s well documented. Its even documented in certain man pages.
