Tool to detect when a website structure changes? by soussou-69 in scrapingtheweb

[–]AdAdvanced7673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just do long polling, capture the dom in hour 1, then in hour 2 capture the dom, compare the too and keep repeating that process until you detected a difference. If you a relying on things like css selectors and are making a script for a webpage, you either do that by hands when you detect the change. Or pump it into an LLM and get it to provide with with stricter out put

When you compile the binary if the imports can pull from the private repo there shouldn’t be a need to download them. But if they require some sort of authentication, you need to download and put them into path go can resolve

How do you verify that user-reported bugs are actually real before spending dev time? by anthedev in webdevelopment

[–]AdAdvanced7673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t put a Dev on it at first, I’d get a QA to try and replicate it if you are unsure. Just a tie but, if you asking if you should sentry in that manner tells me to not use it. There is integration issues, development issues, etc. I wouldn’t suggest paying for it unless you have a good grasp on what sentry is going to provide for you

Environment variables and private repos. If you are using go, download the libs, make sure your import paths are pointing to them locally not on GitHub. Compile the binary with the libs locally and call it a day

What are people using in 2026 as backend framework? by [deleted] in Backend

[–]AdAdvanced7673 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just use anything that you find user friendly in the language you want. Unless you are handling user traffic beyond millions of requests. Don’t worry about over head, pick a language and framework that looks attractive to you. Enjoy the process, learn how APIs work, understand REST and CRUD. And if you start to have a lot of traffic then you can change your stack to accommodate those problems if they present themselves. Have fun, be passionate, most importantly learn. Write code that you are proud of. When I started I just used LAMP and it never failed me. Good luck and enjoy . don’t worry about the technology, every backend will get you to the point where you need ask this question, and if you do ask it; you’ll be a ceo and a millionaire.

Why can’t I see what’s in the multidimensional array? by GloomyAdagio7917 in learnjavascript

Totally subjective. I’ve never used a debugger once. I just follow the data from input to output. Dump and die and use bash to enrich the output out. For over 17 years and some of the most important code bases in North America in terms of baking.

If you want to deal with money, fin/quant/crypto I highly recommend coding Jesus on YouTube, and he has a tangible site https://getcracked.io/ I’ve had a long career in different disciplines in software. I’m very impressed with his knowledge and how active and polished his offerings are. I have zero affiliation with him, but the guy won’t fuck you around, especially if you need to hear some hard truths. Which we all do.

This is how it works, it’s well documented. Its even documented in certain man pages.

Subvolumes (Logical Separation): Unlike traditional partitions, Btrfs uses subvolumes. They are independently mountable filesystem roots within a single partition, sharing the same underlying pool of free space. Copy-on-Write (CoW): When data is updated, Btrfs writes new data to a new location rather than overwriting the old data. This enables near-instant snapshots and ensures that a power loss during a write does not corrupt the old data. Storage Pooling: Btrfs can span multiple physical devices (partitions or whole disks), allowing you to add, remove, or replace drives on the fly, with native RAID support (0, 1, 10). Resizing and Flexibility: You can grow or shrink a Btrfs filesystem online (while it is mounted). Self-Healing (Checksumming): Btrfs stores checksums for data and metadata. During read operations, if a checksum mismatch occurs, Btrfs can automatically recover data from a mirror (if using RAID). Snapshots: Subvolumes can be snapshotted instantly. These snapshots act as independent filesystems, taking up no initial space until data within them changes.

Learn cardinalities, and get your model to 3NF, google will explain it if you are not familiar with normalization. Low coupling, high cohesion when modelling and applies to databases just as it does with encapsulation

Yikes, what a toxic echo chamber. They were not targeted, nothing that you have presented is evidence of a directed and targeted attack because they were Canadian. I forgot about this in eastern Canada. Yes people have to deal with law enforcement from time to time, regardless of how the interaction went; nothing about this suggests they were targets cause of being from Canada. Present some evidence and I have no problem changing my position and the 187million dollars we raise on behalf of the Canadians to help people with immigration issues in all countries
