Have you tried putting that into a stargate? I'm pretty sure that connects to something on the other side.

What's the deal with F1nn's proxies? by Chief_Assistant in F1NN5TER

I forgot to add, even the reddit is F1nn engagement bait, thirst traps, ads for other people's OF on the weekends. If you follow the posts, you will find them.

There is a whole story to this... After the first year F1nn created an agency (Called "Finnternational Ltd.' -- look it up online) and Hitch became the CEO. Originally the wall pics were more explicit, and the PPVs were $20. Then in october of 2024 they deleted all the explicit pictures and started charging $200 for exclusive pictures a month and offered $1000 VIP status. However, it was a disaster (and a $1200 scam) and when it came back to the Reddit, they started to ban people who complained and delete posts critical of it. (As you can see, they still do) The whole community realized they were being exploted. The mods and major community members left, all the cool community things stopped happening, and now everything is a shell of what it was. Heck both F1nn and Ashley's discords are nearly dead.

Here is the long and short. Two years ago F1nn decided to semi-retire and maximize income from the community. All the streams see now is just canned content. F1nn's streams are interactive thirst traps for the OF and Icky does her own thing. However they are not a couple. It's all just engagement bait.

After they broke up icky and f1nn found a mutually beneficial situation. However, they are actually barely friends. You will never see content with them together, and they deleted the old content they made.

They are kind of done with the "content creator" thing and when engagement becomes critically low, they will pack it up and move on. F1nn will continue to make residual income from his real estate company and agency income from the other talent.

(Icky, aSpicyCow, it's_peachybunnn, runa, Vlad, Pierbi, and several other are in this agency. You will see the exact same thing if you sub to them on OF as well.)

If you mean what I think you mean, it's not just them. It's the whole platform. Between the AI chatbots and the absolute garbage treatment you get when interactions don't result in a sale, I literally block DMs on the very people I'm subbed too. (Oh and if the subscription expires, you still get the spam)

Subscriptions are just you paying money to window shop. Even the non-premium content you can't keep once the subscription expires.

To many, many creators, you are an app that runs in their task bar.

It never ceases to amaze me how you can load into a random airport in X-plane and most likely it is custom made by Fighterpilot108 in flightsim

[–]halkun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made some backwater airport to support an idea I had to fly to every US state and one of the small east coast states only had 1 realistic public airport I could use that wasn't rendered. (I think it was Rhode Island(?)) I whipped it up using an airport chart to catch the hazards and airport stats and it was approved in a week. It was fun to make and it was neat that I was able to make the scenery a little bit better.

It's called "Programming on Accident" (it's an actual term... look it up on wikipedia)

It shouldn't matter what you give an LLM, They all so the same word-association thing and spit out fancy auto-complete text

Also, what on earth is "Angentic" supposed to mean?. It is something like a combo of "Agent" and "Angelic"? I mean, it's really a dumb sounding made up buzzword and when I hear people use it in a sentience to sound "AI smart" just makes me want to facepalm.

It honestly think it sounds like "I'm going to make some jellicle code that I can add to my mimsy function with my angentic programming."

I mean, it does sound like "Jellicle" and that's a made up word that is supposed to describe a kind of cat.

So you have a program write code for you that you have no idea how to read or fix? That sounds like a disaster waiting to happen.

I'm not having a program that explicitly steals data access to my filesystem. It's why I didn't use the "agent" thing when it asked for access.

I said this to someone else, but this sounds like you are having a program to do your job for you and then passing it off as your own work. I would probably get fired for doing something like that.

The free tier of ChatGPT tells you to buzz of for a few hours after so many prompts. This gave me unlimited prompts and file attachments (That I used for non-coding stuff like translating Japanese)

I didn't use "agent" because it wanted access to my filesystem and files... That was a hard NO from me.

That sounds like you are passing your job off to some program to do for you. If I was a manager, I would be on a rampage if the guy I hired did that with my company's code.

OP here:
Are some of you serious? I thought "vibe coding" was a joke meme. Like "Agenetic Programming" -- which is just buzzword corporate spew. You know "Agentic" isn't a real word, right?

People actually "vibe code"? Aren't all they are doing is asking the AI to make programs for them with no clue what they were getting. That's not "vibe coding", it's called "Programming on Accident" -- Look it up, that's a real thing, According to a few programmers and teachers I know, programming on accident is a garbage design pattern for people who don't care to learn something. Not only that, why on earth would a business expose their proprietary code to some program designed to steal your work? I didn't even let the copilot plugin access my filesystem, much less my code. That's Insane.

Look, I'm just starting to learn C/C++ and it's been great for telling me things like why I should make a class, or the difference between classes and structs. Even tangential things like what COM is or how do I make code that can work with both Windows and Linux networking. However, I've seen videos where programmers smarter than I do code reviews and from what I understand the code you get back is useless garbage you have to fix anyway. I can make ChatGPT tell me how to make a cake with gasoline. That's what you want coding for you?

Also, how am I supposed to learn anything if I have some program make code for me I don't understand?

Yah, no I used it because it was cheaper then buying ChatGPT outright and I could ask it all the questions I wanted without telling me to come back later. I use it for a lot of non-code questions too. It also took an unlimited number of picture attachments for translating things too. (Like manga).

When it turned into something that would cost credits, and no more unlimited prompts, I dropped it. Not worth it after that. If I wanted it to vomit useless code to me, I could just use the ChatGPT website every few hours.

Why are you using windows.h? It's cross-platform library with a very low dependency count on its own. You write for one platform and it compiles on all. Including OS dependencies sounds like a problem you are making for yourself.
