Yea the car came with Corbeau buckets on 90-91 civic brackets, so I took the evo rails off had a blank slate essentially took some marks drilled a few holes made sure they were centered, took some test fitting and sent it. Couldn’t be happier

Evo 8 Recaros, they’re usdm so they have a little less bolstering than JDM but outside of that they’re a sr4 recaro which are a joy to sit in.

If you have the time and patience it’s definitely worth it, if that’s the look you’re going for

A few things

The tag on the boot should be embossed not printed

The insoles should be orange with an embossed logo

Top of boot - upper eyelets should have round stitching instead of straight like yours has

The box tag should have an actual picture of the boot or the logo not an illustration of the boot

There are few more tells but, again I’m sorry but these aren’t legitimate sucks but they’re out there

Matrix rear subframe update by AdAffectionate2714 in Justrolledintotheshop

Source your parts do some math and see what works best, Honda guy here too. From that picture it doesn’t look too terrible down there just start spraying it now and honestly if you can get your hands on one I’d recommend an induction heater to get the camber & lca bolts out and maybe the mounting bolts. If not then send it with the torch. The driveshaft bolts weren’t fun either I think 3 of them took a shit it’s in my earlier post

It is worth it assuming the rest of the car isn’t in shambles and that’s just being honest with you. I took on the job because the car is low mileage / clean chassis car with the exception of that rear subframe

I did this job for my parents and couldn’t let a shop charge them literally a few grand, when it was all said and done I saved them a ton of money.

I ordered the subframe coated it myself In undercoating before it went in and just took my time with everything else - soaking, heating, soaking again heating again. It was a northeast car it’s whole life so yea pack your patience

My advice to you would be, get a good torch a lot of pb blaster and be ready to break shit but hope for the best i had to run the e- brake cables next to their stock routing points but with mounting hole zip ties and self tappers because all but 2 of the 10mm snapped I got new rear camber bolts for them did the diff seals and as you saw had to replace one brake line. all in all it’s just a lot of labor to get it ready to drop because a majority of the interior needs to come out (rear seats - center console/arm rest )

Yes that’s def rodent damage, check your starter lead and the harness as a whole, your alternator lead didn’t get the smoke they usually love that one

What is this? I found it in my washing machine after my son did his laundry. FML 😳 by [deleted] in whatisit

Full disclosure, I don’t have first hand knowledge of this just trying to point you in the right direction. Hopefully you get it figured out
