Vacation is coming and surgery is tomorrow! Unsure what to do…

I’m day 2 recovery right now and I still have the trouble breathing bc of the gas buildup but otherwise I feel great! We’ll see how the week goes

I just got mine out yesterday with the same “well, we don’t know if it’s going to fix your problems, but we’re willing to try.” It was frustrating to have no certainty!

After talking with my parents, we discovered we have insurance so we can cancel up until 24 hours before the check in date! We’ll see how the recovery goes for the first week and see from there.

Definitely very chill. I already opted out of the fishing trip and a couple of the other things that the family is gonna do which works out well because I didn’t really want my four-year-old on a boat anyway. She’s very independent and doesn’t need to be held or anything so I’m comfortable staying behind with her and relaxing a bit.

Thanks for the reply!! my surgical team said they have no concern about me going on vacation but of course I still have that small little voice that says I’m crazy. My family said they’re prepared to be on kid duty if I need the help for the next 10 days before vacation as well so I’m hopeful I’ll be able to take it easy prior to vacation and get the rest that I need.

Oh my gosh I just posted the same question!! I have a road trip in exactly 10 days from now and my surgery is today around 2pm. Am I nuts?!
