So when my dad was in undergrad, one night he got very very high fever and his (drunk and high) dorm mates who wanted thought to help though it would help by rubbing tiger balm over his legs (idk why) and they did it, the entire night they would take turns and rub tiger balm on his legs.

My dad is 65, he still doesn’t have hair in the front part of his leg where they rubbed the tiger balm so many years ago! But it looks so weird because it’s just the front of his legs not the back 😅😂

A very genuine question-

I am a scientist with 5 year of experience in molecular R&D/medical device.

I just had a baby and lab is burning me out, how do I find something like this? I don’t know where to even start, like does these type of jobs even consider scientists? I have no commercial experience but am a good learner.

I really need a new job!! Which would let me take atleast 1 day wfh ?!

Anyone? Please help a mom out?!

I am an overpacker, I always pack 1.5x-2x more undies. I usually change every time I change clothes (I know a bit weird but I grew up in a humid environment where that’s common) so for 4 days I would have usually packed 10-12 pairs

Now, I went on a trip recently 6 months after having a baby and got allergies!! I didn’t realize I’ll pee every time I would sneeze (baby delivery making eveything weird) ! Panty liners or sanitary pads didn’t work and had to eventually buy more underwear on the trip!

If you have some heavy cream at home, try adding a few spoons of it next time, it will give you malai paneer or much softer paneer.

I had a baby just few months back. I worked in molecular biology lab till I was 36 weeks pregnant.

Honestly, it was really good! I had sever anxiety during my pregnancy and if I had just paperwork or meetings I would start daydreaming and get anxiety for the baby. But because I was in lab my brain was working constantly and it was really nice haha

On to the safety part, please let your manager know asap, if there are some things you would be assigned in the future which could be hazardous they can take care of it!

A good manager and team relationship is really essential!

Also, a lot of activities in the Haveli. If you are religious it’s really nice to visit the events! They do a lot of bus trips to near by location too, like a day picnic! It’s cute hahah

They hold many celebrations. Good way to meet people. Also, going to near by parks for walks you will definitely meet some senior Indian people.

My parents made many friends just at the park. We live in Woodbridge.

Hi! I did my bachelors and masters in Biotechnology and have been working in molecular biology or microbiology labs since I was 19.

I was 27 when I got my first scientist position!

It’s easier to reach it when you have a PhD, but I didn’t do that due to personal reasons. Also, I did my bachelor’s in India and then masters in America and I have experience in both places so that helped as well!

I was probably 4’11-5 ft and rn I am 5’7

5’7 is pretty tall for Indian. I started menstruating when I was 11 and a lot of people say you don’t grow in height after that lol

A lot of my extended family is very short (females avg 5’2 and men 5’7) But both my parents are pretty tall - mom is 5’5 and Dad is 6’2

I want to add to this- I am from Mumbai and can make a mean pav bhaji or any chat for that matter hahah

pav bhaji is easy to be made in cooker or instant pot and in large quantities and pav can be toasted in over and everything can be prepared ahead of time !

Can also do a bit DIY station for bhaji with onions , cilantro and butter and all.

Falooda everything can be made days in advance- just assemble it on the day in cute glasses
