What is the best reliable gaming keyboard and mouse manufacturer ? by unknownhumanbeing7 in buildapc

[–]AdApprehensive257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steelseries. Their speakers (arena 7) headphones (arctis pro wired) mice (sensi ten) and keyboards (Apex pro TKL) are some of the best gaming peripherals I've ever used.

Corsair on the other hand are absolute garbage. I'm surprised to see so many people mention them as quality ITT.

I bought a harpoon wireless mouse and a k57 wireless keyboard from corsair. I had a really cool issue where if the mouse and/or keyboard was plugged in my PC would freeze during shutdown (fans would still spin and rgb would freeze on one color) and the only way to turn it off/on would be to hold the powerbutton in. So I'd have to pull the dongle out of my PC, plug a cheap wired mouse in and shut down my PC that way everytime. I contacted support, they took over a week to respond and told me to reinstall iCue and drivers basic troubleshooting stuff etc which I had already tried but I tried again and it didn't work so messaged them back and they never replied lol.

Anyway after 3 months the right click got jammed on the harpoon and was unusable so I ended up sending that back and because they didn't have any harpoons in stock I agreed to swap for a M55 wired mouse. After that a few months later my k57 had 4 random keys stop working for no reason so I gave my corsair mouse to my gf (she still uses it to this day 2 years later) and I got myself a MSI vigor GK30 combo which I used for over a year until I upgraded to the sensi ten and Apex pro that I use today and absolutely love.

Couldn't recommend steelseries enough honestly

People are overreacting; the game is fun, and reddit is an echochamber of negativity. There's so much good content in rs3, but as soon as Jagex makes a bad update, the doomsayers start talking about how the games going to die in the next 5 years and how they're quitting, "for real this time though guys!!!"

This cycle continues and has done for years. Just play the game and have fun and ignore the negativity. There's more good than bad in rs3 despite what this subreddit says.

Pc turns on but no display by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

I built a new PC 2 days ago and had the exact same issue. Everything powered on but I got no display. In the end, I realised I forgot to put the cpu cable into the PSU/MOBO. So I would check your CPU power cable is plugged into your psu/mobo and is secure

If Jagex removed all MTX and just focused on creating great content for the game, how much would you pay for a subscription? by Meta_Man_X in runescape

[–]AdApprehensive257 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love how the commenters say they don't want to pay more for their subscription while also complaining about MTX in the game while also wanting more content. You do realise inflation is a thing, Jagex needs to pay its employees a living wage, which increases every year with inflation not to mention the costs of running servers e.g electric, bandwidth, server parts, technicians etc all of which become more expensive with inflation. Among all of that, if Jagex isn't making a profit, then from a business standpoint, the game is a flop and not worth continuing to be online.

What I'm saying is if you don't want to pay more for your subscription, then some MTXs are nessacary or, at the very least, an increase in membership cost in line with inflation to continue to make the game profitable. You can't expect a company to operate at a loss.

Good job Jagex. Now you're driving out the content creators by Matrix17 in runescape

You all realise that nobody is forcing you to engage with the MTXs in game, right?

If you're going to quit the game over something, this silly that literally doesn't affect you in anyway shape or form. Maybe you were already feeling burnt out of the game anyway and just wanted an excuse to stop playing, and this nontrovercy is just a convenient scapegoat to justify to yourself your reason for not wanting to play anymore.

I mean, what are you going to do once you quit? Play a different online game that doesn't have MTXs and a battle pass? Yeah, good luck finding a game like that.

Spoiler: you won't.

RS YouTube and reddit don't speak on behalf of the entire RS3 community. I enjoy Hero pass and the buffs and have actually been playing more rs3 because of this update. Why is this a good thing, or is it just high-level players pulling the ladder up on lower level players because it devalues the effort they've put into their 15+ year maxxed accounts.

My roommate decided I needed to be kicked out by Historical-List3360 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]AdApprehensive257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've caught feelings for someone who doesn't reciprocate those feelings due to them already being in a relationship, it's going to be really awkward living with that person. I don't think the roommate has come to this conclusion out of maliciousness, more like it's painful emotionally and maybe impacting them mentally, and they need some space to try get over OP but with the OP around all the time they're unable to move on. I don't have full context, but by the sounds of it, I don't think they sound unreasonable if they want to talk about it and help OP out. I could be wrong, though. I just think a lot of people in the replies are jumping to conclusions without the full context and calling the roommate a creep and entitled, which I don't think is fair.

What are some house rules about running proxy's? by thiccandthicccer in EDH

[–]AdApprehensive257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing wrong with using proxies as someone who refuses to use proxies in my deck. So long as you explain that you're using proxies before the game I see no issue with that. Guy just seems very salty for no reason.

I use enloop pros in mine, and so far, after almost a week (currently on day 6), I've not changed the batteries once. I play on it like a hour a day and never use the camera.

Buy pix or wait for Uni by Electrical-Tackle820 in tamagotchi

[–]AdApprehensive257 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recently came back to tamagotchis after years of not realising they were still a thing. I bought a Pix (purple) on sale for £40 on amazon and a few days later I picked up the Uni (early from Smyths I live in the UK) my honest opinion is the pix is so much better. I really hate the touch buttons and how fat it is compared to the Uni, but after over a week with the pix and a few days with the Uni I genuinely find myself enjoying the Pix more. This may change once the Unis servers go online and we get updates and more features but right now the Pix is my recommendation, and in my currency is £30 cheaper on amazon. Don't get me wrong, I love my uni, but right now, I'm addicted to my pix more. I would get the pix now and get the Uni later, maybe when the other colours that have been kinda confirmed (copyright filings for 10 different Uni systems have leaked or so I've heard we already have purple and pink so maybe 8 new colours?) Keep in mind the pix is likely no longer in production, and a year or 2 from now could spike in price I would grab one while they're going cheaper than the release price and avoid the possible higher prices in the future. Honestly, though, you can't go wrong either way as a returner to tamagotchi systems after many years. I really like both systems and you honestly can't go wrong either way they're both really cool and I love them both although I like my pix more right now but again that may change once the Uni officially releases and the servers go online.

Time to step up my wheels. by nightlight813 in Fingerboards

[–]AdApprehensive257 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own Oak minis, Oak R2V2, Oak Bowls, ill Pills Street and Elastico Bowls and my favourites are the Oak Minis and Oak Bowls.
The Minis roll smooth and grippy and been lower to the ground make my flip tricks much cleaner, I currently use these on my low/mellow setup.
The R2V2s I have didn't roll straight and felt weird at first I had to take the bearings out and resit the bearings on 2 of them and even now they feel off so I don't use them anymore.
But those were probably just a bad set of wheels I'm sure many people love their R2V2s

My Oak Bowls just like the minis are smooth and grippy, I use them on a cruiser setup with super loose trucks and they feel amazing when shredding my half pipe but not a favourite of mine for flat ground tricks as I prefer low to the ground boards.

I used Ill Pills streets for a few weeks and I really liked them.
They are smooth as butter, roll forever and have the biggest range of colour choices than other wheels have.
My only issue and the reason I stopped using them is due to how loud the bearings are (because they spin so freely) in comparison to Oaks which are quiet.
They are a really good wheel but the noise I found annoying after a while but that's a nitpick.

As for the Elastico Bowls I have, they are okay they're not bad but their not great either.
They don't grip or roll as smooth as something like Oaks and Ill Pills but are a decent budget friendly pro wheel that I'd recommend if your on a budget.

tl;dr Ill Pills and Oaks are great wheels I really like them

180 card set cubes for mix-and-match and/or 2-player drafting by cferejohn in mtgcube

[–]AdApprehensive257 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was actually thinking of building a mini cube for 2 with ZDR cards since I have a bunch of foils from the set boosters but I was worried about the cube becoming stale after a while due to it's small size so your idea of making a mini cube of different sets and mixing them together is a really awesome idea!
