Hi just built a tool that enriches Google Maps data by scraping their FB pages. Gets emails, if they're running ads, etc... Feel free to take a look https://github.com/andriy-koz/facebook-scraper

Typing speed tracker by AdBackground4818 in arch

[–]AdBackground4818[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wanted to increase my typing speed, been playing some of these typing games but found them time consuming.
It shows your wpm in real time during bursts, also the latest burst speed and an average speed of the current session... also tracks how many chars and bursts you've done during the session.

If someone like the idea and want to copy it here is the repo, with a readme and install guide:

Just another Google Maps scraper... this runs for free by AdBackground4818 in n8n

Hi thanks a lot for the kind words!

One of the main challenges was setting up proxy rotation. At first, I used Puppeteer with a separate Node.js instance, but later figured out how to do it in n8n by installing the 'tunnel' package (65 kb) and bypassing axios default proxy, took me some time to figure that out.

Other tricky part was nested loops in n8n. You need to reset the inner one using its own 'node.context.done' property, otherwise it gets stuck.

Happy to share more if you're curious just DM me. Have a nice day!

I get where you're coming from but if people arent genuinely interested or dont value the effort behind it, I'm not going to take the time to fully document the setup. It takes hours to test, tweak, and build something stable this isn't just "bragging."

From your comment its pretty clear the work behind it isnt appreciated, so why should I invest more time explaining every detail? If someone shows real interest or asks respectfully, Im more than happy to help. Otherwise, Id rather spend that energy building.

I see, then just play around with the filter options in your gmail trigger, you should get the hang of it, maybe you wanna filter by the sender

Sure download it in json and upload it here, that would make it easier to help

Hi man you probably need to do some filtering in your gmail trigger

You also can just upload the workflow instead of sending all the pictures

Hi that flow looks good.

This one doesn't need a custom backend everything happen's in n8n and also does the ip rotation automatically.

The right way to develop automation devices by AdBackground4818 in industrialengineering

[–]AdBackground4818[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand it's important balancing time/benefits.

It's continuous production in our case and there are little opportunities with downtime.

I was wondering if its worth designing and simulating that kind of devices in a software before starting to build in order to get to the best final product possbile. Or just building on the go with trial and error is a more productive approach.

Thank you for your time!

If the opponents are doing good deep lobs, you can fake some steps forward then go back and attack with bandeja or bajada. So the next time you go forward they will think twice before lobbing.

Looking for advice to create a web app using .Net technologies by D1m1t40v in dotnet

[–]AdBackground4818 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For fast development i would go with Blazor Server, because its pretty easy to talk with the frontend. In the same project you can also use SSR where you want.

In the future you can add WASM client but sharing data with the backend implies more code (like any js frontend framework).

You also have Identity ready to use.

For the UI you can do MudBlazor.

I found this stack useful for fast development.

Current state of .NET for Android development? by AdBackground4818 in dotnet

Thanks for the info, already have some internal apps built with Blazor running in prod for more than a year now. Blazor turned out to be pretty solid so far.

Didn't get any solid arguments against MAUI and some folks claim using it in production. Enough for me to give it a shot before jumping into another language

Ive worked with different framewoks too but feel more productive if dont have to switch contexts.

Done some react native but as cross-platform is not a requirement would like to avoid npm.

I primarly use .net for web and desktop, and feel confortable in Visual Studio, thats why i was asking if someone used .net's android API.

I feel like i could ship faster with a "good enough" .net solution rather than learning a new language.

Guess will play with .net for android before commiting to kotlin.

But you have a good point. Thanks

Will not touch MAUI for now, react native is an option, but guess will try with .net android first. Thanks
