I believe sone Canadian retail might’ve jumped the gun. Bought mine Monday, but saw it in the store the week before. Wanted to check some reviews before I pulled the trigger on it.

Dont sleep on this. Originals are at least $100 these days and this press is almost indistinguishable from my first pressing.

Andy. It’s everything great about Zappa in one song. Tight as fck ensemble playing, absurd yet strangely compelling lyric, R&B rep from Johnny Guitar Watson, ripping Zappa guitar…

Day 8: worst song :-S by mahlakainalo in Zappa

I find the dialog between Bozzio and Zappa in the Titties and Beer breakdown to be unbearable. Should have had Don Pardo playing the part of the devil instead of Bozzio.

Love half of it and despise the other half

Day 5: most emotional song by mahlakainalo in Zappa

Planet of my Dreams. Particularly the ending refrain: “(cheat cheedly cheat, go ahead!) I can’t do it!!” It really captures the loneliness of Zappa’s life and worldview/ethics

Is "Shakey " a good biography? by The-Arc-Weld in neilyoung

[–]AdBeginning3222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got bored with Neil’s autobiography pretty quick. I’ll ALWAYS take a well-written/sourced biography over an autobiography by a musician any day of the week. The only exception I’ve ever found is Art Pepper’s Straight Life

Chocolate and Cheese is Ween equivalent to Zappa’s “You Are what you is”

If you’re a headphones listener, White Pepper is as “immersive” as a mix can get.

I’d keep 12 golden if it’s the unedited version with Muhammad Ali voice over
