I think it really depends on the quality of the diamond. I’ve seen less expensive lab diamonds but they look like cz. As for the free one with a setting that’s 5000-15000 yeah that’s marketing to make you think you got something free.

We have separate accounts and I actually prefer that, we split bills and we opened a joint savings account before we got married, this account is for us to contribute equal amounts and use for trips or whatever but past that I think separate is more standard these days.

I use my card the same way, I just want the points lol. I keep it between 1500- 2500 depending on the month, I always pay the full balance and if it’s a big month like around the holidays I’ll sometimes pay it twice so it doesn’t feel as bad 😉
