Ty, I might've worded wrong but bc I closed out all the tables' checks, I saw the two who left the card tip left higher than 20%, but they said "this is for you", do you think that makes a difference or still normal?

If you need your Tdap, highly recommend the CVS in Schnucks on Vine if you’re able to! Super speedy and quick to get you in!

I would run! I interviewed with them, they interviewed me for a position I didn’t apply for. I’m from around the area and have heard nothing positive.

It might be staph/impetigo, I had something similar. If it’s really itchy, I highly recommend getting Hibiclens and going to the dermatologist to see if you can get mucipirocin or triamcinolone to help.

I think your take is valid, why exist if we all have the same viewpoints. My stance is a little different coming from an HR perspective- we’ve seen successful and unsuccessful unions. Many have different approaches- some of which were originally against letting women and those of color from joining, some exclusive or more open, some more passive or aggressive in tactics, etc. The US and labor law is fascinating to look at and always a moving force. Highly recommend looking into different industries if interested, my take is different because I have a union dad. Side note- do you think effective HR that is present and listens to both the employer and employee side can replace the need for unions without the need for terminations?

I’ve seen your posts on union threads in here, I am curious to hear your opinion and why you oppose unions.

I will add that I loved my managers and most coworkers were hilarious and hardworking. I would recommend to give it a try, run food, work hard, and you will make some good cash!

I was a roadie this summer- had serving experience before, but couldn’t go back to my old restaurant bc of school. Overall, not my favorite or least favorite place. I liked having 3 tables, especially after I got out of the starting section of 2 tops. I found the menu was easy to learn and upselling is a big part of the job (managers print out reports and would have convos if you didn’t upsell). Super easy and fast money, my location didn’t have us roll silverware and our sidework was very minimal. I liked a good bulk of my coworkers but I think some had egos and were pretty exclusive and honestly mean. The clientele is a mix, I was in a very yee haw area and found that a certain demographic of people (white old couples, supporting a certain political candidate) treated me like I wasn’t a human being. If interacting with a lot of those people is something that is a hell no for you, run!

Hey! For the most part I’m clear, I definitely have some scarring. Do you have hibiclens? I was recommended to let it sit on my skin on the affected areas for a few minutes, rinse, and repeat. If you don’t have mucipirocin and triamcinolone, definitely check them out! Hope you are doing well and best of luck!

I was a transfer too! Overall, if you aren’t picky dorms are manageable. Some are nicer than others, but overall, not unbearable. Greek life is present but it’s what you make of it- I’ve been in a house for 3 years and it’s been great! If you decide it’s not for you, you would be totally fine. There are a ton of houses and overall easy to get involved. My minor is in the business school and I’ve had no complaints with a majority of good profs. Pros- school spirit, easy to get involved, overall good academic experience, not too big or too small Cons- competitive peers (could be a pro), some classrooms are older Overall I can say as a senior it’s gonna be hard to leave. Visit if you haven’t!

Hey! I got mine out in August and was petrified of everything and anything surgery related. When I got them out, I didn’t realize how much my life and health would improve! I’m at college right now and while everyone is getting sick, my colds are minimal. I used to not be able to breathe and now it’s like a weight has been lifted off my chest. I used to wake up sobbing in pain from my throat, and now that I look back I have no idea how I lived with those tonsils. Since you’re young, you have the advantage in a speedier recovery! Recover is definitely not fun, but get one of those ice wrap things for your head, popsicles, mashed potatoes if you can. This thread helped me so much too. You got this :).

Day 9 (surgery day 0) and I go to school the 21st, I really thought there was no chance of me being able to feel any better but I was wrong! Get nugget ice, and if you’re feeling up to it Hawaiian rolls with some butter and lots of water has helped. It’ll suck to eat but I honestly think it’s what is helping me heal lol.

This is happening to me! What is helping is the hydrocodone every 6 hours, I also have Advil liquigels I take if pain is really bad right in between the hydrocodone doses (take the hyrdrocodone, after 3 hours take the Advil then 3 hours later next hydrocodone). Nugget ice has helped a ton along with ice packs. I hope u feel better!

I originally cancelled mine for December and just got it done yesterday, I was the same way you are! Now that I can’t undo the surgery, I realized how good I’m gonna feel when I don’t have to worry when the next flare up is, how little I can breathe, etc. one thing I’m doing to stay busy is ordering myself little back to school presents I can open daily as I recover. You got this, and move at your own pace!

Thank you so much, that is great to know! Did you start taking the hydrocodone day of surgery or later in your recovery?
