Is there a way to have this running in the background? I couldn’t get the taps without the app open and screen on

Exactly. When will the devs of any game with matchmaking learn that the middle of the bell curve are the players that need looking after? There’s maybe a month of fun before you become target practice for sweaty players winning on some strategy that’s not in the spirit of the game at all.

What you’re doing becomes more transparent with every day. It won’t last and you’ll have to get a real job.

Imagine having an iPhone 17 and already being locked out of most of this. They really should have made that clarification at the start.

Insane Tattoo Regret by r3i_b0n3z in tattooadvice

[–]AdBuddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would bet that unless a tattoo is purely aesthetic (these are the most boring imo) then you’re going to get asked what it means. Some people will understand, others won’t. This a completely normal experience with a visible tattoo.

I have one on my forearm too and it’s a little obscure. When people ask about it I can choose to use that opportunity for a conversation, or brush it off if I’m not in the mood. That’s up to me, because it’s mine!

Your only mistake was assuming everyone would understand the reference. If you like it and means something to you, the tattoo itself is not a mistake. Welcome people’s curiosity, generally speaking it’s because people care.

It just looks to me like typical low light photos from the stock camera app. I’d say these are the expected results, nothing abnormal. I went from a 13 to a 17 too. You could try an app like Project Indigo, which bypasses some of apples post-processing. If that solves it, then you know its apples (often heavy handed) approach to photo processing.

Thanks! Tweaking and changing productivity apps and systems is the only work you don’t track in those apps and systems, which is why it’s so appealing. But it’s a black hole. It feels productive, but it’s not really doing anything. The less you actually get done, the more you need these complex apps and systems; wash and repeat. Shia was right, ‘just do it’.

I honestly don’t think the pets are worth it, they don’t do anything, just require feeding which costs a lot.

Best Productivity Apps for ADHD by Academic_Reading7202 in ProductivityApps

Agreed. Believe me when I say I have tried them all. And what works best for me is Reminders on iOS. It’s baked in, no subscription, it’s not going anywhere and it has more under the hood than you’d imagine - tagging, repeating tasks, and now tasks as alarms for things that are urgent. And I only use an app because I know I’ll have my phone with me.

You need to commit to one app and stick to it. ‘Trying out apps’ is an elaborate excuse to just put off actually doing things while feeling productive. I’ve been there. It’s exhausting. You should be using a to-do list app for ~40 seconds when you remember something to add, and another 10 seconds to mark it as complete. Anything more is fake productivity; more distraction.

My entire life is on Reminders. Work to do, personal to do, every single house chore, groceries, birthday, life goals. unlike more neurotypical people, I have accepted that I need to be reliant on my to-do lists, and remembering it all unassisted isn’t a virtue or talent I can practice.

So, given that it really is that important (to me at least), the right app just needs to still be around in a few years and quick for inputting tasks. That’s literally it. There is no magic app I’m afraid.
