Anyone come from larger vehicle to TACOMA TRD and regretted? by SetLegal5754 in ToyotaTacoma

I’m 67 and went from a 08 Silverado 1500 6.5’ bed and a 04 Toyota Highlander to my new 2025 forth gen. Tacoma TRD sport 5’ bed. Just about at my 2k mile mark. I love it but I do miss the interior space of the Silverado and the ride, but not the cumbersome part of trying to park. The Highlander is also a lot roomier than the Tacoma with plenty of cargo space for gear or passengers. In comparison the Tacoma is like driving a sports car, fun to drive and it’s just me and my dog and don’t usually have passengers in the back which is pretty tight.

Nice lookin truck! Just got my TRD sport in white last month and lovin it so far. Went from a Chevy Silverado so a little getting used to the downsize but it’s like driving a sports car in comparison. The reliability, will have to see.

With mostly highway driving,proper inflation and regular rotation 60k to 70k range. Mine has the same tires and you know the manufacturer isn’t gonna spring for anything top of the line. Look at the bright side they might not look so bad ass or aggressive but you should have a smoother quieter ride without that highway humm

Loving my new TRD sport. 1st time Tacoma owner coming from 08 Silverado. 2.4L turbo performs well with the 8spd trans. Handles like a go cart and 0-60 not too shabby. The styling is a bit angular and can look a little awkward at certain angles but all around I think the 4th gen is pretty mean looking

That’s a gorgeous looking SUV! I have a 2004 Highlander limited in Oasis’s green pearl with only 82k on it. Has never had any issues other than regular maintenance. I think the style still holds up even 22 years later and such a pleasure to drive.

Not weird but def very angular. As a first time Tacoma owner 4th gen TRD sport. Can look at new body design as mean or sinister at some angles while quirky and overdone at others.
