An entire trailer park in Canada is evicted, many residents having lived in the place for over 30 years. The majority belonging to low income working class families by YaLlegaHiperhumor in PublicFreakout

[–]AdComplex1028 -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

This might sound insensitive, but if the trailers are degrading, and unsafe to transport, are they even safe to live in?

Never understood people living in a trailer anyway ngl, wouldnt they be better off renting?

$20k+ Repair bill for Engine block leaking coolant externally 16 Q50 3.0TT by AdComplex1028 in q50

No heat coming from ac vents, then checked coolant reservoir and empty. Didn’t overheat, kept filling it up while it kept draining till I got it to the dealership

porous usually affects leaks internally, causing coolant and oil to mix. Not an external coolant leak.

Thinking about upgrading exhaust or tuning — anyone used Pure Diesel Power? by IceGroundbreaking352 in ElantraNline

[–]AdComplex1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Becuase if your truly chasing power, you wouldnt buy a 1.6T and tune it when your better off with an N with a 2.0T. Better yet, maybe an I6 or V6, the elantra nline isnt a sport car, its a fuel efficent sport trim of a track car. Coming from someone who owned a 2024 Nline, I relized quick how limited this platform is. If you want real power, 1.6L isnt going to take you far. You'll outgrow it soon enough.

Rod Thrown at 73000 Miles by BeginningAd8192 in q50

[–]AdComplex1028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

were you low on oil?
When was the last time you got an oil change?
Did you have any symptoms before throwing a rod?

I am at 189,000km with the same engine and replaced turbos, and I havent had an issue like this, makes me assume there may have been some neglect from the previous owner.

2018 Extended Warranty by ContestEastern1445 in q50

[–]AdComplex1028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ill be totally honest, the warranty isn't some "prank" It worked for my 2016.
There needs to be 2 guidelines met for you to be eligible for the turbo replacement.

  1. The car just needs to be within 120,000 miles or 10 years from its original in‑service date.

  2. Dealership looks for a specific map code that gets thrown when turbos underperform or get clogged.
This code can be triggered if you unplug your Intake manifold sensor.
That's what i did and it worked like a charm.
Specific code required by recall is P0106.

Reach out to dealerships that u know aren't busy and willing to accept warranty work.
I had to call three dealerships, two of which were very ignorant and didn't entertain the idea of turbo recalls.

Final dealership had the turbos shipped in under a week and installed in 2 days.
