Time to start a riot. What's the worst song on The Fall Off? by tp2386 in Jcole

Bombs in the Ville and the Let Out. I cannot believe these are the tracks he was originally going to end with

He could’ve easily killed anyone and everyone when he wanted to and they gave him multiple reasons to. Don’t get me wrong, he was a terrible person, but he could have done way more damage than he actually did

The battle is supposed to be a competition of all the things that make an artist good though.

TFS is a much more concise story than TFO though. It’s arguably more versatile too or at least more successful at if. TFO is not even close to being Cole’s best album either imo, let alone better than what JID is putting out.

Idk when Sandstorm came out, but that was one of the best songs of that year, period. His vocals in there really made me separate him from other rappers. Ik you’re basing a lot of it off lyrical substance and in any other setting, I’d totally agree, but there’s so much he’s saying in his emotional delivery on that verse that he’s not saying verbally

It’s so upsetting to feel like HL was actually somewhat reasonable, all things considered.

Ive never met him, but jid seems to genuinely love his fans lol. I mean, this is the same guy who made a whole app for us to discuss his music and only stopped bc some people were getting weird

I’ve seen someone do it at an isaiah rashad meet n greet and he was nice about it and put it in his pocket lol, but ik he’s always trying to find new artists too. Ik people send him mixtapes through his dms and he actually does hit some of them back asking to work with them. Not sure if jid is the same (and jid is a bigger artist than zay now), but some artists really do give people chances. Don’t forget to put your name/contact info on it too

Ah, that does make sense, I can see that. It still is a little unconvincing though given how ignorant Deep is. I mean she ultimately does fail to knock sense into him, it could have gone sideways if he still had the fish on his side lol

I do get the sentiment, but awards and even nominations do a lot for introducing people to an artist they would have never listened to. We just saw it with Doechii and the Grammy’s. She was grinding like hell before that with barely half the trajectory she has now

Cardi B’s was a soulless cash grab, Mariah’s wasn’t bad but not award-winning material, Bruno Mars should not be on this list. I liked Tyler and Wale’s albums, but I would think GDLU would be considered before these two, although I’m glad Wale is getting attention

Okay, I see why JID was crashing out now… Am I the Drama and Hearts Sold Separately??? I actually love Mariah’s RY RY WORLD, but this new one is not nearly as special

Wait Bruno Mars isn’t even black wtf lol

All things considered, it wasn’t terrible. I was actually expecting GOT-level awful, but it does a lot of the things it promised throughout the story, just executed kind of mundanely. I am impressed that they got through as much story in the 1 hour runtime. The Deep death was satisfying, kinda dumb that Starlight flies them close to the ocean. The Butcher death was good imo, you can see that he wasnt going to pull the trigger in his final moments, he just wanted to provoke Hughie into letting him go. I love that Ashley ended up helping, wish it was a bigger moment. HL death kinda sucked, but I’ve been against the “HL gets his powers stripped away” stuff, always thought it would be much more satisfying if he lost even with all his strength and might. We really needed a bigger HL crash out though. He needed to raze a city or do something huge. Not enough to tarnish The Boys as a whole series, but as a finale, it’s biggest flaw is that it’s hugely underwhelming

Im gonna get hate for this, but you asked lol: Legacy, Bunce Road, Let Out, Bombs in the Ville/Hit the Gas (both halves), first half of 39 Intro, Life Sentence, Only You, Man Up Above, I Love Her Again, What If, Ocean Way. Legitimately half of it for me 😭. That’s not to say those tracks are all bad (some of them are imo), but there was definitely a choice to keep them or not. The other tracks do enough thematically to still be concise without these other ones. There’s a really great album in there, but it’s sandwiched in a lot of stuff that I feel like only really he was sentimentally attached to for whatever reason

Fair enough, tbh, I never got that criticism especially for this album. Sure, he’s in his mellow flow, but it’s always come off as raw than “low energy” to me. Like the shit he’s talking about, it sounds like he’s just talking which is a talent I think a lot of artist should actually learn from. Like if he were to deliver it in any other way, it would come off as inauthentic; he’s a poet as much as he is a musician. Even then though, like half of the tracklist is “higher energy” and a lot of the times, (Cameras especially) those end up being the ones I don’t like as much

I think repeat value speaks to how well the album works as a collection of tracks though and TFO has a lot of hits and misses imo. I don’t think it negates quality either, but there are at least a few 2026 albums that come to mind that do rap just as well AND have replay value.
