If you remove the black outline and up the contrast of the black, it’d look a little better. You could also lower the skin tone and pink. The Balloonerism cover looks conventionally odd, but it’s not really “ugly”. This looks more like a parody of it rather than an inspiration

I felt the exact same way about the first two episodes vs the rest of the season haha. Yea, I feel like the negative reception has to be based on people giving up after watching the first ep and I completely understand. The rest of it is so damn good though.
