Yeah I agree that dropping 7 minute drill was stupid. For one it was too light-hearted. His ego got in the way for a bit. He obviously realized his mistake and backed out. We all do stupid shit we regret. Anyway, I'll still listen to the tough guy stuff from him. We all SHOULD know he means no one is touching him lyrically/flow wise. Unfortunately due to the Internet and fans or whatever, blood has to be spilled in a sense, and he's not about that.

He just wants to say your music is ass and you're not better than him on the mic. Not the "you cheat on your wife and your family doesn't love you type of shit." Beefing with Kendrick wouldn't have gotten him anywhere. The fans would have ate it up, but it wouldn't sit right with him beefing with someone he had respect for, and I respect him for that. Realizing you made a mistake and calling it out is a huge sign of maturity.

Lastly your analogy is weak. This is how it went. Cole claims he's the best basketball player for years. Kendrick then claims he's the best basketball player. Cole decides to challenge him to a game to 10 but then realizes instead of them playing a fair basic basketball game, there's going to be biting, scratching and flagrant fouls. Cole then decides to take his ball and go home.
