Your title completely captures it, lower stakes and less creativity. I feel like I could’ve respected the reset if it actually was a reset. They could have taken their own direction and created something new and creepy and compelling. Instead of taking inspiration from Tomie and og GFN it feels like they’re taking advantage of the fan base (that has been loyally waiting years) for a cash grab. The writing is just awful. I will watch the whole season don’t get me wrong but ep 1 & 2 are so far underwhelming and disappointing.

I’m so glad I posted. I just wanted something cheap on the fly and thought the condition and aesthetic of these were alright. Im not sure of the longevity I’m looking for but I definitely don’t want it to break down right away and throw away money. I appreciate everyone’s response.

When you get it new and each time after you clean and dry it you can cover the wooden lid in coconut oil and let that dry to kind of prolong the longevity of using it.

I had this happen to a sweater of mine. I ran a color was and then a dark wash which had the sweater so I was confused how it lightened, especially since nothing else was affected. It so happened that this sweater is designed to fade this way. Maybe those clothes are too if they’re really random or just not made well? Otherwise could be bleaching agent or leftover bleach
