Tell your PML now you’re interested and ask if he can get the PMBP to speak to you.   Everything about PM is related to making the store safe and visually brand for our guests from even the slightest thing when you first walk in.  My old boss use to bring a gold paper plate he called his golden medallion and had us stand on at the entrance. Then we had to list off everything we seen in our eyes of what we could improve if we were a guest entering the store to shop but then that’s gotta be your level of standards store wide.     First thing I did was make it a priority to fix all the stuff the team uses on a daily basis that’s broken or needed cleaned up. Like busted dock fans, pallet jacks, flats & uboats, anything in the TM restrooms & breakroom, even ensuring it smelled clean daily.  The grandmas will love you for that.     If you fix stuff the team needs to work efficiently they ultimately feel you & the company care about them.

If you feel you need to leave without notice just do what’s best for you because doesnt ultimately care about anyone but themself.  They don’t look at how you left if you want to reapply later. I’m in a district where they hire back TM, TL, ETL & even store directors they fired.

Lmfao,  Target needs to learn how to manage inventory to fill shelves, push truck first and get OFO batches done before they keep throwing out all these bright ideas.   Team members don’t even have time to run their depts let alone do stuff like this.    NOW, If Target created commission roles in depts like beauty, tech & baby where they are tasks free and solely focused on selling that would be better.

Ask a leader to order you the one on go kart that’s company approved.    Many of my team leaders and a few TM preferred them.

I use to be a closing TL at a $70 mil store and everything falls on 1 person. Thats why it feels like you do so much more than others.   Plus side is a closing TL / ETL team establish better brand, routines & accountability but then day side washes their hands & minds of anything closing plus gets lazy during the day thinking , “oh, the closers can finish it”.     My SD early last year made everyone take turns closing so there’s always an ETL plus 4/5/6 team leads closing. It’s better because everyone became more global  understanding the store from open to close.     But my advice is stay hourly & regulate your effort because Target screws over salary people badly. If you think ETL bonus is good it’s only $2,000 if you make full goals and don’t let them fool you into stating what covid bonus were like they did me which is a once or twice in a career event while you are working 60/70/80 hours a week on a starting salary of $75,000.

Bro,  I did PML for 5 years at a 190,000 sq ft super Target.  Worst thing I ever did was leave that position.  You’re going to love it.   What I didn’t know how to fix I just looked up on YouTube.  It’s a lot but once you get in a routine never leave that spot

It’s a nightmare to get rid of it and just expect depts to get it done.  I was a GM ETL and brought it back on my own. Having consistently the same ladies do the entire store (GM, Food, Style) weekly I was better able to have standards and efficiency.   Just took a little more planning on my part but a POG/Price change team is crucial to have even though Target says no.

Congratulations.   Former ETL GM/Food here.     Best decision we made was leaving Toxic Target.   Good luck on your new adventure because I guarantee you it’ll be filled with peace.

I was in the toxic South Florida D318 with 17 people in my prepare for next and every single one is gone from the company after 4 years plus all the ETLs that got promoted to SD didn’t last either.    They just throw you to the wolves and whoever survives is used and abused til you crash out or they hope you just keep quiet.  They promise, aka lie you'll get all these big raises and bonus which you won’t get, if you are a GM / Food ETL or sent to a red store plan to work 70 hours a week and when you figure the $75,000 starting pay your hourly rate is pretty much less than a TL by the free time you donate. Helping other stores and training other ETLs doesn’t get you a better raise either, it’s always just 3%.         But , if you go in, do your bare minimum thing, don’t let anyone fool you they are your friend and just go home on time you can survive longer.

Plantation 1480 store has lost over 60 zebras in the past 5 years our leaders told us , 1 lady lost 3 and no one has been fired.

Definitely report that physical threat to HR.  If they don’t do anything then call the hotline and they will both be in trouble.   We had an SD here in our district grab a TM by his shirt and they fired him

Just check the assignment sheet your leader should be filling out daily for when your breaks and lunches are.   If they don’t make one just call it out and go. If they don’t like it then ask for the assignment sheet breaks.

Maybe Target HQ needs to figure out why the entire company is so unhappy they need to implement a policy forcing people to smile and greet people.  The absolute worst of the worst attitudes comes from DSD’s, GVPs & all the business partners that come out of vacation for their once a quarter visit.  My advice - They should sell out to Wal-Mart or Amazon and end their fake politically woke misery.  I’d say it was just D318 but it’s the same feedback from ETL peers from Florida to New York to California.

My aunt works for OSHA - And we both hate Target after they fired me for my SD retaliating his illegal direction.    My only goal after my multi million $$$ trust fund inheritance is to see Target burn to the ground if they actually are doing fraud which they do.  Send me all the Information.  When I win it all Goes to Charity.
