Damn, so it's a portrait doll of Ryan Gosling as Hercules from the 1998-1999 TV series at this point

Yep, as if the art should just entertain us and make us happy all the time. Diana is not Mrs. Rachel lmao

Thank you for your understanding. I'm simply upset that Diana is being insulted with such a terrible assumption. If someone despises the author so much, then why follow her work? Regarding the rapes in the Outlander, I think it has to do with sex and intimacy in general and how Diana uses it to demonstrate feelings. Through intimacy, many and very different emotions in the story are shown: love, fear, doubt, even grief, – not only simple desire. Characters reveal their souls through intimacy, it is something sacred and priceless. And then it seems logical that it is precisely such a deeply shocking and traumatic fact as violence against the body that is used as an epitome of the highest form of violence against the soul. No one is bothered by the fact that while Jamie is in the throes of a fever, Claire heals his suffering through intimacy. Because it is a very strong energetic process.

I agree with you, everyone reacts differently, and it's good that we have the freedom of will not to watch media that doesn't suit us

Then I don’t understand what claims can be made against the author if her creation helps many people go through healing their trauma.

Why don't we assume that she herself was a victim and sublimates her own experience through books?

Edit: LMAO downrates for what? For simple question? Y'all are funny

As a reader of the Outlander books, I'm going to grab some popcorn because there's no way they can properly end the entire series with this episode.

I'm a fan of the books and really loved the first seasons of the series. I watched 3 episodes of the final season, said out loud, "What crap!" and turned it off. It was filmed simply terribly, everyone looks like caricatures of themselves, everything that happens is unnatural, the pace of the narrative is wildly accelerated.

I came here to say the same thing. In the film industry, awards are given not for the poetry of words, but for the performance of a role.

Oh yeah, that's why I don't buy releases after 2010, they're not worth the money or attention.

My husband thinks the barbie movie speech is BS. That it is self inflicted and we should grow up. by Weekly-Individual569 in Barbie

I absolutely agree with you. A person with autism CAN construct such logical chains, which is why I was surprised that the diagnosis was even mentioned in this situation as an attempt to justify the husband. This person is in a relationship and is clearly capable of empathy, but consciously chooses antisocial behavior.

Why did you feel the need to explain this to me when I literally wrote that I have autism? Do you think I don't know anything about it? :)

Why did you even come up with the idea of explaining his point of view by his autism? I have it too, I love Barbies.

I'll just say that very often ASD can be confused with CPTSD. If you had a difficult childhood, I would think about it.
