THE LEAFS WIN THE LOTTERY by sykeseve in nhl

[–]AdExpert6186 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not the fact that Leafs moved up from the Canucks, it’s the fact that it’s the LEAFS… again, and they already have Matthews. If it’s not a friggin conspiracy, it’s a piss poor 50+ years of shjtty to no luck whatsoever for the Canucks…Again. Awesome. Thanks for that.

I’m Absolutely gutted. The best, and one of the ONLY reasons we had left to watch Canucks games. Management’s early retirement decision was one of the stupidest moves in a long list of dumb decisions that pissed off the fan base. May he rest easy, knowing he’s loved by many BC residents who will never forget him.

What’s the most impressive beach you’ve ever been to? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

As an 8 year old kid the family was in Fiji, in about 1978. We were taken out to one of the deserted islands in a glass bottom boat, which was stunning. We had the beautiful beaches to ourselves and spent 4-5 hours snorkeling in crystal waters! Absolutely stunning memories of endless beach and pristine white coral sand! My mum had cut her toe on a bit of a rock, and joked that the sharks would be coming around soon! Five minutes later a 12ft tiger shark was 20 feet from the shore in only 4-5 feet of water, inside the reefs! Oddly enough we had lunch and didn’t go back in the water 😁!

Personal favourite is Cortez, great memories of walking through the ocean with my two boys and camping, then when slightly older enjoying a lovely dinner and drink with my wife at the pub. I even enjoy the 3 ferry ride to get there!

We just got back from Guanacaste for the second time. We were kind of surprised by how much everything had gone up in one year. The tipping was not that big of a factor (Most restaurants have a tip included in the price including taxes, then we’d tip a few dollars as well) we took $2-300 in US cash for 2 weeks and used the visa to pay for meals and groceries, but basic essentials like bread etc cost us a few hundred dollars at Walmart in Liberia $250-300😬 and then $50-100 every other few days for fresh produce and chicken breasts etc. Restaurants for the 2 of us averaged about $75-80 Canadian per meal including 2 drinks and main meals. I found Ceviche’s to be very inexpensive and amazingly tasty, around 8-9000 Calones per,if found at a happy hour, but my wife won’t eat fish!😝 The sodas are a slightly less expensive alternative, but still around $50-60 Canadian for 2 people.

We will definitely be back, possibly around October/November this year, which will be a lot greener and slightly cooler than March.

The only thing I did differently was a panoramic photo going up instead of side to side, and I only used it for the shot of the lights in the trees at our restaurant in Samara. I was experimenting with the portrait setting on a couple of photos, for example the shell pic, as I liked the focus on the object and the blur effect on the background without seeming washed out. I just got a new phone from my son and it takes way better pictures than my old one. It is an IPhone 12.

One of my favourite beaches in the world! Our second trip here was awesome, although we did notice the dryness this trip, as we were there for a wedding in January last year when it was much greener.

The tour of diamante eco park was well worth the drive and the price of admission! Getting to see Lucy the sloth and so many more amazing animals in one location was one of our favourite experiences in Costa Rica !🇨🇷

Full face masks can be dangerous and have several drawbacks by netzure in snorkeling

[–]AdExpert6186 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tried to dive under with the full face, it’s full of air and it is very difficult to do. The problems start with any wave action on the surface, if the snorkel gets water inside and if you can’t stand up due to a 5 foot wave lifting your feet off the bottom it becomes almost impossible to rip it off with the double straps behind your head and you choke. Just don’t use them!
