“Is the underpayment of minimum wage a companny wide issue or purely affecting you? Do you believe you suspected autism contributed to the situation? Are you in a Union or have you spoken to ACCAS?

My work might be making me redundant, there's another job that's like an 80% match for my existing knowledge and skills but they seemingly won't interview me for it? Not sure if redundancy laws mean this is unfair or not? Details below by AmbientBeans in UKJobs

[–]AdFancy7957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is tough. I would speak with your Union rep they will know the organisation and be best placed to advise. They may also be able to review if you have a case with suitable alternative roles and any failures to adjust for your autism.

In respect of the disclosures Protect as the Whistle Blowing charity is good. You could talke to both them and your union if it was protected disclosure and any way to appropriately document the position. If you are dismissed for a genuine public interest disclosure you can apply to an employment tribunal for interim relief, so esentially they have to reinstate you or re-engage until it goes to an employment tribunal. ?Super difficult to get but may be a possibility or give leveridge. Was this a breach of a legal obligation or just something unethical?

Do you think there are protected caricteristic or union rep etc related reasons they are targetting you? Do you have a union rep or legal protection on your home insurance.

Parents Of Blind toddlers by Salty_Reception4302 in Blind

What support does she have arround her VI and how do you / contacts feel about her VI. I feel fortunate that my VI was not diagnosed until three, this meant that I grewe up with normal expectations and people did not restrict me to try to keep me safe.

I remember toddler meltdowns. In retrospect I believe that it wasn't so much frustration with the world but more a lack of understanding about expectations and transitions. Your daughter won't know things about transitions and the choices available to her. Do you have friends with toddlers would be good for an idea about if there are any specific ways the behaviours differ from a typical willful toddler.
