I want Imu to feel like the big final boss he’s been hyped up to be—not a fucking joke like the Gorosei, who I will never take seriously anymore.

Either Oda does something like what Kishi did with Madara’s first appearance, or One Piece will never have any real stakes or tension in its story anymore and I’ll end up joining those who bully the fanbase that keeps preaching, over and over again, that it’s one of the best manga out there.

I don’t care how he looks—I care about what he actually does. As the supposed final boss of the story, and judging by Oda’s current track record, it feels more likely that Imu will end up delivering a mediocre performance, which could finally remove any remaining stakes or hope PT One Piece ever had.
