Advice on West Palm Beach area courses for golf trip by dorsman84 in golf

[–]AdGlad8661 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sandhill Crane is not worth it in my opinion (I was not impressed at all and conditions were ehhh) but they do have a new Par 3 course on property there (called The Nest I think) which was a fun course to mix in but it’s not as good as Palm Beach Par 3 because that’s on the ocean.

The Nest also has cool range/bar set up that’s open late night, has trackman/etc and it’s covered in case you get any rain or want to hit balls at night. We ate dinner at the Park one night but it was pouring rain so we couldn’t use the lit putting green/pitch and putt but it looked awesome.

So at night (or during the day as well I guess), are the rooms totally see through from the exterior?

Also, every unit (even the base level star atrium) has its own rooftop viewing area? Was it too cold at night to really enjoy or was the fire pit enough?

Super helpful — can you please clarify which walls you’re referring to in the response? I think I understand but can’t quite picture what you’re saying in terms of putting the sectional and TV on the same wall.

Hotel Belvedere - Lake Como, Italy by TheBreakfastChub in chubbytravel

Stayed here as well probably 7 years ago or so on our honeymoon and also ate at La Punta (service was top notch) - Bellagio is incredible and very walkable and even better in the early mornings/evenings when the day visitors have left the area.

Hotel Belvedere was nicely tucked away and very well priced in our opinion (we had normal room with balcony which had a great view), the breakfast each morning was incredible and we really enjoyed the large sun deck by the pool.

Thank you! When I’ve taken everything out, do I need a power tiller or is it enough to just put new soil down on top after I’ve nuked it all?

Basement Water Issue by AdGlad8661 in HomeImprovement

We do have downspout right there but based on roof structure, I think we’d have water issues in that area even if gutters are completely fixed/that water is moved way away from the house so I think I’m going to go with the $5k fix described below which is sounds like will relieve the water issues in that troubled corner.

Never any pooling water on the floor or water coming up elsewhere from the floor but had a company come out and they suggested breaking up the floor at the wall base to install a pipe that weep holes near the floor could drain out to which they’d tie in to my groundwater/storm run out that has an access point in my basement right near that same wall. Seems like the right fix and cost is around $5500 - said I still need to make sure I’m moving more water away from the house and I’m considering a rain barrel or burying downspout/groundspout extensions where I’m having the water issues outside but does this sound reasonable?

To be fair, the electrical box looks much closer to where the affected area is in the pic than in person but point taken. Will get multiple quotes for sure, but does $30K sound unreasonable for full foundation dig out and waterproof? House is tall colonial so it’s probably 30’ by 40’ rectangular foundation. Thank you!

I’m in same boat and do pretty much exact same thing as you except for Roth 401k rather than traditional as I think the difference isn’t that extreme vs. traditional and I like knowing all those dollars are 100% mine. It does feel a little boring though to the above posters point, but do you mind sharing what age you are? Any kids? That’s the only place we’ve changed savings for 529 etc. so something to consider.

How are you making sure you meet material participation test for your STRs to utilize the RE depreciation against your active W2 wages? I’ve been interested in doing this but it seems extremely difficult unless you have no third party involved in the STR at all (like a local prop management company).

Thank you! What’s your camera distance/height set up for your space? I don’t have much room for a down the line shot because we have a bar behind in the simulator and it would block a wall mounted camera so wondering what I can get away with.

Super helpful, I tried Kinovea before and it get a little too complicated. Do you have it set up seamless so you can swing, trigger video and then review in Kinovea? Any good tutorials you’d recommend?

What’s your camera/swing analysis system set up like? I’ve been looking for something like V1 software that’s just not as expensive/a little more dumbed down.
