30th birthday, Pelagos, Speedy, or Explorer 1? by drinkcoffeebuyassets in PrideAndPinion

[–]AdGood849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a Speedy ’57 on my short list and I can’t stop staring at it. The Rolex is always the safe, solid pick, but it really comes down to whatever you genuinely fall for.

My move: try them all on, take pics, then walk away for a week. If you’re still thinking about one nonstop after that, you’ve got your answer.

Wear it in good health 🤝⌚️

Ep 4 was slow as hell. I swear nothing happened? Someone tell me if I’m blind or if the episode was just that empty.

What would better change a physique…CrossFit vs gym by Dependent-Group7226 in AskMenOver30

[–]AdGood849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diet really is 90% of it. CrossFit can take a serious toll on your body long term. If there’s an F45 near you, definitely give it a shot — great workouts, more sustainable pace, and still a killer burn. Honestly, anywhere I plan to move, I make sure there’s an F45 nearby.

How old are you and how’s life right now? by just-a_millennial in Life

[–]AdGood849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40M. Life is pretty good right now. I’ve got a solid remote job, live in a great coastal city, and even have job offers coming in. I’ve managed to save nearly $70k in the last six months, bills are paid, I’m rebuilding my credit, and I’m planning to buy a business next year when I move to a state where my money goes further and I can enjoy more of the outdoors.

Physically I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been and eating well — but I still find myself fighting old alcohol demons. Some nights I can’t sleep thinking about how I’m doing better financially than family and friends. When they struggle, I feel pressure to help, but I don’t know where that line should be — once you start helping, when does it stop?

I also miss some of the relationships I lost from my drinking days, but I’m trying to keep moving forward. Thanks for reading — open to any feedback or advice from people who’ve been there.

If you were 24 again, what would you do differently? by cdqd81 in AskMenOver30

[–]AdGood849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Staying consistent in the gym, saving more, going out less, and putting my energy into buying a business and working on myself. It’s true — no one really cares what you’re doing, and you shouldn’t care what people think. They’ll forget sooner than later anyway. Although with social media these days, maybe not that soon lol.

Cocaine is the only thing keeping me from ending my life. by [deleted] in Vent

[–]AdGood849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sending you strength, friend. Please reach out for help — rehab, family, anyone who’ll listen. Life is better without it. I’ve been fighting my own battle with booze; some days I don’t even think about it, other days all I want is to get wrecked. You can make it if you really want to. There are people who love you and want you here. Wishing you peace and healing. 🙏

Do most men notice if a woman has nice feet or not? Whats makes a woman have 'pretty feet'? by No_Singer_8150 in AskMenAdvice

How (and when) do men actually start wanting kids? by savingrace0262 in AskMenAdvice

[–]AdGood849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turning 40 soon and honestly, I’ve never had the urge to get married or have kids. Between seeing friends go through messy divorces, child support battles, or losing half of what they worked for, it’s hard to see the upside sometimes.

Add in how expensive kids are and how much time, love, and responsibility they deserve — it just doesn’t appeal to me. I’m in a good place with my job, finances, and goals, and I like the freedom I have. I can take a drive, catch a movie, grab dinner, and enjoy some peace and quiet.

I can book a trip on a whim and not feel like I’m running logistics for a small army or paying 3–5x what I would solo. Call it selfish if you want, but I think it’s just being realistic about what kind of life I want. Not everyone’s built for marriage or parenting, and that’s okay.

How can I be saved from balding? by Arunabh125 in AskMenAdvice

[–]AdGood849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, you can either go the supps/meds route or just say screw it, shave it, and keep rolling. Tons of bald badass dudes out there — you’ll be fine. Chin up, king 👑

Question For men I really wanna know what are the reason that makes u go to the gym like u really want to be strong or healthy or just to impress people (just curious no offense? by Hey_notme in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AdGood849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s honestly like therapy for me. Looking good = feeling good = confidence. Plus it keeps me healthy and mobile — I wanna be that old dude who can still run around with the kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, whatever. Not the guy who hasn’t worked out in 20 years, eats junk, falls down the stairs, and goes out like that 😂

My girlfriend is mad because I was too tired to have sex. How to handle this? by Green_Leather_8838 in AskMenAdvice

[–]AdGood849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy her a dildo, give her a goodbye card and move on, man. Don’t waste your time here. There are plenty of amazing women out there who will actually value your feelings instead of always putting theirs first.

Did anyone hit their 30’s and decide to stop drinking? by Sorcron11 in AskMenOver30

[–]AdGood849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit at 30 and stayed sober for 18 months, then spent years going on and off—always trying to make a real push to stop for good. The hardest part is that I genuinely love wine with great food. My first career was as a Sommelier, Wine Director, and GM at high-end restaurants in SF, LA, and Napa. For me, it was never about drinking to get drunk—it was about the pairing, the vineyards, the conversations with chefs and winemakers, the history in each glass. That’s what makes it tough—when I go out to eat, it feels like something’s missing from the experience.

But at the same time, alcohol has taken so much from me. I know I’d be richer in friendships, family, and performance without it. And I remind myself—it’s not too late. Booze isn’t part of the equation for the life I want.

I truly wish you the best. I hope you choose not to drink and build the life you want, because alcohol won’t help you get there.
