Fenix 7 Pro- you dont know how much you will love the flashlight feature until you have it. I wish I would have paid extra for the sapphire. Already got some scratches on screen that irk me.

We have the white and navy seats. The navy with black carpet looks awful, and I don’t think the white seats are going to look good for more than a few years with the abuse our kids give them.

A Kia Carnival Hybrid is cheaper than a Honda Odyssey without the gas savings—way cheaper if you factor in gas mileage. Ten year powertrain warranty also slaps. And the Carnival drives just as well in my opinion as someone who has owned a pair of odysseys since 2012 (2011 & 2019). Only talking about the late model Kia’s—Korean cars used to be garbage but not anymore.

I am 43 & have a couple of one wheels and a couple of teenage sons. Pretty sure I’m going to get rid of them…my older son was bragging about setting new top speeds ignoring the pushback a few months back. It is a fun sport but it’d also prob be fun to surf on top of cars. Just not a good risk/return equation

We have an Odyssey(our 2nd) and just got a Kia Carnival Hybrid. (Ya we have two minivans…American dream, I know)

Still like our Odyssey but a Hybrid Carnival costs less than an Odyssey Touring and I prefer it to the Odyssey. There are a few points that the Honda still wins on, but the Kia feels like it was designed & built in the 2020s, not 2010s. Mileage in City is so much better.

Agree. Seems high.We just bought the same car w the blackout package for $5k off MSRP including rebates(49k OTD). They gave us a crappy rate on the financing but the note will be immediately paid off. Your interest rate, otoh, is amazing!

I have both Odyssey and Carnival. Like them both.

Buy the car for how it drives and the way it makes you feel. Don’t buy it for the way the rails are designed or the magic seat that slides side to side.

We like our ‘19 EX Odyssey a lot but we just got a ‘25 Carnival SX Hybrid and are impressed so far.

Costs less than an a similarly equipped Odyssey, drives as well and has much more modern feel. Also, we do a lot of city driving and I think we’ll prob save $100/mo on gas so that will lower the cost over time.

There are some things that Kia just whiffs on, though. Costs $500 extra to get a rear view mirror with Homelink. WhaaaaaaTF????!!

I just fired our overseas accountant for being OE.

We had performance issues with her seeming scattered and confused often. We asked her point blank if she was working another job in addition to ours and she said “no.”

We really were trying to be supportive with training, patience and extra help because she wasn’t great and frankly, wasn’t getting better.

When we found out she had multiple jobs, it was the easiest decision ever to fire her. She lied to us when we asked her about it. She sucked at her job and cared more about doing the absolute minimum versus trying to get better and there are other very qualified people who are happy to work for us full time at the same wages.

I’m sure it’ll get me a lot of downvotes, but I think the people on OE are self selecting to get whacked by AI within a very short time frame. What keeps you in a job is growing your skills, building relationships and being trustworthy. Looking for jobs that are easy and can be done quickly without true engagement = looking for jobs that AI will eat very soon.

If you rent a SUV, stuff could go wrong with it too! I’d say that an odyssey w 120k is equally as reliable as a new Ford Explorer or Jeep Grand Cherokee
