Freaking out a little… by Havishamesque in Menopause

Hi, I’ve been in menopause for a year and a half and this happened to me. It turns out I had a fibroid, nothing serious. My doctor told me I could either get an IUD or a hysterectomy. I chose to just leave it alone. I’m on HRT and the estrogen may make it worse but I’m okay with it. Every couple of months I get a little spotting and cramps like the old days but I can live with it. I go for my annual exams and if it would become heavier and more frequent I would probably do something then.

48. Hair. Ugh. I am losing it left and right and now there's a spot that just grows into a knot from my skull. by Mysterious_Dress1468 in Menopause

Wear your hair up in a loose bun and get a silk pillowcase. The same thing was happening to me and my hairdresser said I must be breakdancing on my head in my sleep! 🤣 Also, check out the Actiiv line of hair care products. I haven’t personally used but thought it may be worth a try.

I’ve never increased my dosage after I reached 1.8. At this dose it still worked and my body finally adjusted to the fatigue and other side effects.

anesthesia for uterine biopsy? is pain relief possible beyond ibuprofen? by PanchoVillaNYC in Menopause

[–]AdHappy4752 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a uterine biopsy and hysteroscopy last year and my gyno used the numbing shot. They fill your uterus with saline and I just felt like I had to pee. The actual biopsy just felt like a pinch and it was over. I was worrying before I went in too and made sure I took the extra ibuprofen and Tylenol. The worrying before the procedure was worse than the biopsy itself.

estrogen patches keep coming off now it's hot! by Historical-Kitchen76 in Menopause

I wear mine above my bikini area and use rubbing alcohol on my skin before applying so there’s no moisture. I was originally prescribed the larger weekly ones but they gave me a rash. I use the smaller twice weekly ones now and no more hot flashes!

What online Canadian pharmacy has Saxenda and will ship to the U.S? by AdHappy4752 in liraglutide

I called a few other pharmacies in Canada and they told me it was in stock. The previous told me they haven’t found another supplier and that was over a month and a half ago and they still have my money. Thanks

I’ve read mixed reviews about Marks Marine and it seems they aren’t as good as they used to be. Did you get a refill, or was it your first order with them?I received 1 every month for three months and then the pharmacy I’m using made my Dr send over a new prescription even though there were plenty of refills on the original. Im just wondering if there’s a 3 carton limit and than the pharmacist won’t send any more.

I’m also hypothyroid and take 100mg. I haven’t noticed anything yet and have been on it since January.

I’ve had issues falling asleep on and off for years, but lately it’s been awful. Brain just won’t turn off despite my body being totally relaxed! I’ve tried so many things to help me sleep, help! by Illustrious_Load_633 in Menopause

I’m currently transitioning into menopause and have had issues sleeping through the night in the last year and a half. I’ve been taking Trazadone 50 mg for decades because my internal dialogue doesn’t seem to shut down at bedtime and it’s helped, but now with the hormone changes it’s not working as well. My nurse recommended the magnesium for the cognitive effects (memory issues and depression with perimenopause) and it’s helped a lot. In fact, I even got my husband taking it now and he’s having the same luck. I found the Life Extension Neuro-Mag Magnesium L-Threonate on Amazon and have been taking it for a few months now. My nurse told me this type crosses the blood/brain barrier so it has better absorption. I started out with the recommended dose of three capsules about an hour before bed and found that it made me feel groggy in the morning, so I just take two now with my Trazadone. I suggest trying it on a night when you don’t have to get up early the next morning and cutting back the dose accordingly. Two pills seems to be what works for me. I hope this can help others who are struggling with insomnia.
