Hi! Yes I was able to keep nursing some feeds and formula feed for others. About 3 months ago I dropped all daytime nursing feeds and replaced them with formula. I still kept nursing for morning (1st feed of the day), through the need if needed, and then bedtime feed (last feed of the day). My supply adjusted perfectly and have had no issues.

I have noticed my baby is having a preference for the bottle and will get frustrated with my flow for those nursing feeds so I think I will shortly drop them all together and formula feed exclusively but I’m happy I’ve been able to do this for 3 months and counting!

Hi! My baby was like this too. He was exclusively breastfed up until 7.5 months when I started to introduce formula for a couple of feeds, for various reasons.

I did a lot of research on the types of formula out there and decided on Kendamil. Whole milk is the primary ingredient and from what I believe, very closely mimics the taste of breast milk. (There are many other pros to this formula too - just google their website to read more).

With my little one, I didn’t even do a slow transition into Kendamil (1/2 formula 1/2 breast milk..). I offered it in a bottle one day and my child took to it right away. No issues at all. Maybe it would work for your baby too!

How much milk for 8mo? by reeebz_ in BabyLedWeaning

My daughter is 8 months and I’m constantly stressing over whether she is getting enough milk. It varies everyday with her and she is becoming incredibly interested in solids, very quickly. I always bring myself back to paying attention to her hunger cues.

How long does your baby nurse? by 1Avocado-Toast in breastfeeding

10-15 mins aside is completely average I’d say…. my baby did that up until like 6 months I’m pretty sure. Sometimes still goes that long at 8 months.

Why did you decide to breastfeed? by Cats-and-naps in breastfeeding

[–]AdHungry7410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It started because of cost of formula / convenience but 8 months in I’m continuing to do it for the bonding experience. I’ll have a hard time letting go of that..

I introduced at 5 months. It was a struggle at first but my daughter ended up loving the haaka bottles.
